Update Speculation thread

another factor i've noticed is that euro cars are much more expensive than their USDM (american & japanese) counterparts. this opens up room for an expensive, modern american car but if we go based on price patterns, this car is more likely to be euro due to the expensive styling and large sedan size. there are more modern euro cars than usdm which opens up a gap for this car to slip into but it would have just as much chance of being euro due to the similarity ins size with cars like the BMW 7 series, audi a8, mercedes s class & maserati quatraporte.

 

Ferrari wasn't "bought by FIAT back in the '60s", it just joined the group in a 50/50 joint-venture. FIAT only gained full control over Ferrari in 1988.

As for the Dino, Ferrari simply needed to share the engine for homologation purposes.

It's a mainstream/mass-market manufacturer, but not the "cheapest" by any means.

Plus, keep in mind that FIAT was an automotive giant back in the '60s, more or less in the same position as the VAG group today.

 

Sorry for not mentioning this in the previous post, but I meant "manufacturer that cuts the most corners from the original design", i.e. FCA/Stellantis.

 

What if the car was an upmarket Korean sports sedan? Like if the Kia Stinger and the Hyundai Equus had a baby?

 

Now that I think about it, we don't have any Asian car makers outside of Japan. I would really like to see a Korean car. Or a cheap Chinese car that is new, but horribly unsafe.

 

The first car it reminded me of when I saw it is one that nobody has even mentioned yet

 

i'd be thinking of something similar to a genesis g80 with rear wheel steering, it would be interesting to see that on a car other than the pessima

 

Yes it makes me wonder if it is a Korean car also, OR a USA new age V8 while we can make v8s.

I wonder what new thing this will bring. as most cars have something new. They all bring something new to beam.

Other then the mk 2 pessima that is nice as bland in a good way..

SO this may bring hybrid systems to the game. SO maybe there will be a massive range of Diesels petrols With and without hybrid systems. And i hope a lovely v8..

While we here i will love a v10 or V12 in it


As for where its from i dont wanna sound bad. But i dont want it to be from japan as we have those.
USA maybe maybe not, BUT we dont have a new car from The states ( newest is like 2005 )


WHILE korea is starting to make RWD with v6/v8s. I mean damm the Korean cars of the 80s some 90s where horrid ( and i love them )

What else can i think of, I was wondering if this car will have some kinda LPG system. As we dont have a car on that yet. but LPG is dyeing out. and it was common in aussie cars in the 80s/90s so nah.

SO seeing how there is often other body styles or versions. How about a shooting brake ( wagon meets SUV that also a hatch )

I think if we got for the car after this a pree war car. First all steel era. 1935 ish era will be great. Of Corse i will go stock.
But for hot rod fans some tune parts.


AND a terrible 3rd world car/start up car. Like TATA or old Hyundai or some of 1000s of chinese car brands pre 2010 ..

the teaser image had a poorly drawn sketch of an exhaust pipe and fumes, as well as a 3d modeled front grille- with how electric design is trying to eliminate or replace the grille with increasingly unique and creative bodywork, which we saw somewhat on the EV Vivace, id be very surprised to see an EV in Beam with all of the hallmarks of an ICE design.

 

i just hope it has a variant with all wheel steering with a rear diff

My guess is 2021 hybrid toyota camry mixed with modern civic.





I don't think it is american vehicle as there is a lot of US vehicles in the game already compare to other parts of the world, but it could also be american 'jdm' spec.
It may be swedish, but I think that would come with spring update and new map (snow).

This new car seems to be fr based on the proportions, rather than ff. It also is in a much higher price segment, as shown by the size of the arches (large to fit larger, expensive wheels), and a more dramatic design usually not seen on 20-30k cars.

 

Yes, pricing could be more akin to the G80 but sizing looks more akin to the G90, tbh! Hmmm...

New cars usually come with a rework of the old car.
For example:
1 - etk 800 sedan version + hybrid
2 - if its new american muscle, then I guess blueback (unless its 4-doors modern moonhawk, because that car needs the update the most)
3 - sunburst, but it seems weird that basically 09-14 production year 'impreza' would have a newer 'friend'
4 - both pessimas with addition of the newest gen of pessima
5 - the new car is entirely new brand that doesnt have any other connections to the other vehicle brands, therefore no rework just small changes alongside the update

 

I agree, or maybe an entirely new platform with two different cars (like when they released the update with the Cherrier FCV platform, which consists of the Vivace and the Tograc). I can imagine they releasing the new car as a sedan and a coupe, for example.

 

The Bluebuck I think has been introduced too recently to warrant a remaster. The 800, Sunburst, Pessima, and the Miramar are needing a rework, the Miramar is the oldest, so it might get a remaster. I personally really want a new Pessima. However, the looks of the teaser car are frankly too generic to really say what country its from. It looks sporty and low-hung, which is basically the look of every new sedan, at least in the US.
