Update Speculation thread

I imagine we will start to see more news one month before the update.

 

Since they want to re-theme jungle rock island to be Japanese, i won't be suprised if Cliff get recycled to be a Hawaii themed map sometime in the future.

 

Distant beaches and palm trees as a backdrop perhaps?

Probably go on the repository. Like Port, Dry Rock Island, Old Gridmap, etc.

 

I think it will just be added to, not completely trashed IMO

 

do you think walk mode will ever be returned to how it was at first in terms of speed and jump height?

 

no but maybe we can hopefully open every car doors and others

I wonder if (and honestly hope) that they make a pack of all the old maps, and potentially even older versions of vehicles, both to allow people to play old favorites, but also to showcase how far vehicle and map development has improved over time. I do realize that bringing older versions of vehicles will be rather difficult, so that is almost certainly never happening, but the maps are definitely a possibility.

so i have three theories as of what's going to happen in the next update
ill go from most supported to least
1: Moonhawk Remaster + platform cousin
2: Bolide Remaster + Autobello 60's endurance racer (ferarri 250 gto inspired)
3: Van Remaster + older 70's FC van
those were my theories

 

I think that if devs remaster two or three cars at once, they won't make Cousin's cars from these : this is too much work !
So the Autobello Racer and the old van won't be released.
Btw, we know nothing about a future Van remaster
So it will probably be Bolide + Moonhawk remaster, and MAYBE, a cousin for this one

 

no i didnt mean all at once i was saying which vehicles could be released/remastered

 

!the recent remasters all came with cousin cars, the legran + wendover, the pigeon + wigeon, and in a way the d-series + the prerunner. There are big chances that it'll be the same for the next update, and a likely one would be the moonhawk.
