I have video downloaded and it did not say that such feature would be in next update. However it was called traffic light preview and it did say available in East Coast USA, but did not specify that would be on this update. Of course it is likely that available means this update and maybe video just was leaked bit too soon, maybe they have not decided yet to include the feature, but were planning if there is no problems with it. Still it did reveal indeed what they have been working on. Also I think that video might be remade if they spot some quality issue with it. One thing that for me looks bit odd is where this yellow Hopper is standing at traffic lights: I removed image That is same spot there was yellow GM later on video, but is it common to have such traffic arragement in East Coast of USA? You stop right after the intersection there, it does look bit odd to me at least. So maybe that is something they were not happy with?
Ah, that description is something I never saw, my bad. Usually I just run browser without Javascript and use yt-download to get video, then watch it locally, I know, I'm a bad person e: Oh yes, here is where that PBR is showing I think, paint glows: I removed image Maybe there is new default paintjobs again, like when they decided there were too many blue cars so paintjobs got adjusted, now it would make sense to put paints that show off new capabilities.
It's worth noting the video was uploaded to YT on June 12th. So the feature was "finished" enough to make a video a while ago. Updated my release speculations
With JRI bus stops on the left, could that possibly mean a Japanese bus or mini bus in the more distant future?
Although it would be nice to have, I doubt that's any confirmation. Italy has bus stops and routes, but we don't have a European bus.
I just noticed that! Now that I think of it, the revised skin should make it easier for modders (or devs in the future) to make other “used” looking dryvan skins. Ranging from slightly beat up trailers to seriously past useful life, just about dead rust buckets such as these:
Who wouldve thought Beam would grow like this. I was just a happy camper at the RoR forums when it was announced Beam would come and then in 2013 when they first released a version. Beam is really something else. Also, im old.
Comparison GIF Click to see Bruh, PBR is a game changer. Look how on the car surfaces it catches different building materials in the reflection, the colors really pop compared to how flat it was before. We also can see more skylight bouncing at sharp angles which is really great. The environments are probably the least noticeable change but still look slightly better than before with notable highlights on surfaces and shadows in corners.
Difference is enlarged by the fact that blue car is different model and different shade of blue, it is not that big change to me at least. Look my post where I posted green car, there car has big difference.
Looking at this makes me worry a bit about environment pbr stuff, like the ground is reflecting the sky like there is no structures around it. Hopefully the devs are working on more modern game engine stuff like reflection probes so that can be fixed.
Might you upload it here or to a Drive link for us to see? I doubt it was leaked accidentally, so they probably wouldn't mind it being shared for speculation purposes...
I'd say that making the video private should be a very clear sign that it was not an intentional leak.
If beamng does updates similar to some previous production stuff I have done, they probably had the videos planned around the time they knew what was going be in 0.23. A month if not more before it is even released. Usually the 'update showoffs' is practically a job for someone, gathering what is expected to be in the next one and writing up what should be shown off when and stuff like that.
