Speaking about the lighting, it looks super good. I use AL13, so I forgot what the vanilla lighting looks like, but the lighting in this video looks much better than what I remember, especially in the clip with the pickup.

I dont like how it engages clutch in first, should change it so it only does it in comfort mode.

It seems better to me, I didn't encounter any problem with the DCTs since the last update.
    Thanks for the improvements.

At this point the Bolide should be removed from the game entirely to spite the people who INSIST that a remaster is coming

I mean there isn't anything stopping the devs from having major body panel changes to reflect an older variation, look at the differences between both wendover model years as an example.
Have a look at the 1975 308 vs the 1985 308 model years. the basic body hasn't changed but quite a few minor changes have.

Add different doors with older door handles, different marker lights, different bumpers, rounded headlights, some minor interior changes, detuned engines, different taillights, etc.

The Moonhawk has more in common with the Soliad Wendover than it does the Gavril Barstow. it's more of a personal luxury coupe which was popular at the time (think Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Mercury Cougar,Chrysler Cordoba etc).

I can't remember the last time we got a major piece of content like that in a hot fix. It'll probably be in the summer update.

This is very true IMO. It might be a bit too far into reverse-psycology or something, but, let's say that many people in the community are talking about a certain car getting a revamp, and you, as a dev, are not working on that at all (hypothetically speaking). But you don't want to turn people down by simply saying "We're not going to release Bollide revamp in next update" (again- hypothetically!!). So, the perfect way to do it is to show a regular Bollide in your teaser video, along with a really cool map! (Which I really love the look of).

Also, I've said it before and I'll say it again- certain cars have much more need for a remaster. Covet's engine bay looks pretty outdated (as do both Pessimas and 200bx), and basically all old Ibishu's could really use some new texturing and modeling, just as much (if not more) than the Bollide, and remastering them is more efficient, as Covet and Pessima share many parts (like the Garvil engine and other parts which got remastered, and are now shared between D series, H series, GM, Roamer).

However, if I'm wrong, the Bollide revamp would be really sweet!

or alternatively, they develop features and content on separate builds of the game, then only merge everything once they're ready to release an updates.
the map artists don't need a half-finished rework of the bolide, nor do the vehicle artists need a half-complete gridmap.

I wanted to talk about it in the 0.22 discussion thread but I didn't took the time to do it, so I'll start here.
Im going to be honest, I always hated the automatic gearboxes in this game. But the recent changes on DCTs that started in the 0.21 update IIRC was a really nice step in the right direction, I cannot say that they are perfect as they still have a few brutal gear shifts that removes a typical caracteristic of dcts : the fact that you can't feel a gear change, but now they are still far more drivable than they used to. Im still a bit annoyed by the gear shift decisions, but I already talked about it an enough amount of time to explain it again.
Anyway thanks for improving them (I assume that it's you who worked on it as you are asking for our opinion), you finally managed to get rid of the trashbox that dcts used to be, the amount of improvements you made on them is absolutely stunning :) .
Now I would enjoy a lot to have improvements on TC automatic transmissions, as they turn me crazy after a few minutes of driving and it always end up with the car being sent over a cliff to evacuate my frustration :D .

Yeah this makes sense. I think most vehicles can be removed from a build and mostly everything works as it should. So I guess it's easy just to replace the zip of the WIP Remaster Bolide with the public version and vice versa.

I was thinking, how come we don't have many options for advertisements on the bus and taxis? even just using current advertisements from official maps and sizing them down would go a long way to adding variety as we only have 2 options currently.

Cool that you use AL13 :)
Definitely agree about the lighting, first thing (naturally one might say lol) i thought of when i saw the pickup scene, the lighting looks very natural. I cant wait for any news about graphics/rendering, maybe PBR or things like vanilla Tonemap changes. When i see things like the SSAO change in 0.21 (i think it was 0.21) and now bloom being broken(?) in 0.22 i cant help but think theyre doing intresting things under the hood...

Bolide is the worst of the bunch. Hasn't been redone since the original game iirc.

I believe that this upcoming update will probably have a theme of remastering some of the oldest content in the game.

In terms of levels, I would be very surprised if Gridmap V2 didn't ship with the next update.

In terms of a ground up vehicle remaster, the Bolide is the most likely candidate solely due to the fact that last summer we saw what appeared to be a WIP Bolide remaster. We have not had any teasers of this sort for any other vehicles.

For vehicle content passes, the most likely candidates are the Grand Marshal and H-Series. Stoat already confirmed the H-Series would be getting additional content in some future update, and the Grand Marshal's remaster is clearly WIP still, with a lot of configs being explicitly referred to as WIP in the 0.17.1 changelog.

Why would they show new bolide, when the teaser is about new gridmap? That doesn't make any sense.
