I could tell from the beginning, the graphics are different. And some parts on the truck have changed, I could tell that too. The wheels, the trim on them, the bumpers, license plates etc.

Yeah, we only see steam coming out now, it's the only tell-tale sign of an engine being cold.

Also, I noticed something else, related to all old-school 3-speed and 4-speed torque converter automatic gearboxes having a "2" shifter placement: placing the shifter into "2" does absolutely nothing, the car still starts on 1st gear, like the shifter was put into "1" or "D". This is wrong.

I just found another niche to be filled: the niche of the RWD Full-Size American Wagon! The Gavril Grand Marshal is a good platform for this!

There is a GM wagon in the wbimp mod pack but that mod is outdated right now. Hopefully when the update comes it will be usable again.

Do you think that will be there a future revamp of this car or of another car?
Me, I hope mostly in a big revamp of GM and H-Series with official Crown Vic or Town car facelift for GM, with wagon body, and i hope an Econoline or E-Series facelift for H-Series, with new configs and new longer body. And i hope in new german sedans, like the two older generations of Opel Vectra
And, last question: Do you think that Pigeon is "dead"?

This was not going to sound rude, and if it seemed rude, i'm very sorry...

    Nah, don't feel sorry! :-D
Tbh, I feel the GM indeed needs some further remastering with new interior textures (for example, the digital clock doesn't work - it only shows "12:58", there's no separation between the front and rear seats in the taxi and police configurations and, iirc, there is no front bench seat, but I might be wrong on this one). It also needs a wagon variant, an ultra-luxury version and a facelifted package, since this type of vehicle was very popular up until 2012!
The H-Series certainly needs a remastering, since it only has commercial variants and no separating wall between the cargo area and the cabin.
Tbh, I find absolutely nothing attractive in cheap FWD German sedans (RWD ones are much more interesting), so I wouldn't say they're important for the BeamNG lore. But, for the sake of diversity, why not?
The Pigeon is certainly not dead! The "Dove" mod has shown us that a small and light high-riding 5-door SUV with locking diffs and a locking transfer case can be very competent!

Of course I agree, my friend! :-D
Yeah, why not? A German midsize FWD sedan with a V6, along with a minivan based on the same platform, could be very nice! ;-)

It doesn't start in second gear, it limits the gears to first and second.

This is important to remember, I read into a picture thinking it was a teaser so much the devs corrected me, and I got my beautiful profile picture. (I forgot who made it, but thank you)

OT: I wonder if any new manufactures/brands will be revealed. While some brands only have one car, I feel there is opportunity to make more brands, specifically to represent countries we don't have any cars from. Sweden, Australia, Spain, Russia, etc.

Also have the devs stated at any point if they ever had plans or interest in really old cars, 1900-1920 era? It would be cool to have Gavril's first popular car, their model T equivalent. Multiple old cars would probably be pointless due to low demand for them, but at least one would be fun. (Plus we could make a flying chitty chitty bang bang style car)

Old cars are cool and all but we really need more 2000 and above cars. And yes, I'll post this every time as a reminder.

Hmmm... I was almost certain that the purpose of ''2'' is to be chosen in case of low traction, for limiting wheelspin at the start. I may be wrong, though!

There's multiple different use cases using the same symbol, I think the "limit to max gear 2" is for towing up hills or something.

So some cases for towing up hills can also need 2nd gear. Didn't know that, it seems like I thought all towing scenarios are like pulling a boat out of the sea, in which scenario you lock it into 1st to get up the ramp of the port. Alright! :-D

*For this post I'm counting the Vivace and Tograc as 2 individual cars*

Why don't we need more old cars? We have a nearly even number of vehicles on either side of that 1980-2003 clumping even though the pre-1980 tail covers far more time.

-If we take 1930 as an arbitrary lower limit, we get 6 cars and 1 semi for the 50 years before the clump starts.
-If we take the Burnside's model year as our lower limit we still are covering a 27 year time span for those vehicles.
-After that grouping we have 6 cars in a 15 year time span.
-If we take 2000 as a hard cut off then we actually end up with 11 cars in 20 years since so many 1990 cars have model years up to 2003. Far more vehicles than what we have for vintage stuff even though that era covers 2-3x more model years.

I'm not saying I don't want new model year cars. I'm not going to turn this into vehicle suggestions thread but the 2 on the top of my wishlist are modern cars. I just feel we need to acknowledge that vintage cars are not outnumbering modern cars, it's the in-between era that we have so much of. If we want an even representation then both of these tails need attention, not just one.
