That sounds a little like a recipe for drift configurations.
Due to the garages and dealerships, i think the career mode will start on Utah, right after a rocky start happened
That is a good thought, but I expect Utah to be late-game. Because of the types of dealerships, I think you will start in West Cost and Italy, then move to East Coast and Utah. The reason I think this is because West Coast and Italy have junk car dealerships while East Coast and Utah don't.
I may be biased here as an American, but if you think about it from the racing market point of view, it seems Utah and Italy are two alternative starting points, going through West coast (or ETK driving center, depending on that getting redone into a German map eventually*), culminating in East Coast (or that Great plains/Texas that has previously been speculated**).
The devs do live in Germany after all, and there's tons of potential there.
This was before the remaster of Small Island IIRC, and I still think there's a good chance.
This is sort of what I hope, but as I said, there aren't any junk car dealerships in Utah so I doubt it will be a starting area.
Where/when was that from?
From what I remember people speculated that just before the Small Island remaster, and I think there's still possibility there, even if somewhat dormant.
A Great Plains area sounds great, especially if it is the size of Italy. Kilometers of open 2-lane country roads with crisscrossed gravel paths and a few small towns, maybe one lone highway on the side of the map... it would be a great addition to the game, and probably would replace East Coast as my favorite map. I believe that a Great Plains map is a definite possibility, but I think the developers would be more focused on adding a snow-covered map like Finland, as there isn't any snow in the game yet except for a little bit on the Automation Track.
True, true, although I think better weather controls might be part of UI v3, as that way one could customize the maps without needing to actually use the editor (which is hard on lower-end PC's)
Was full weather support ever on the feature list for the future? Because i think i can remember something like that but i guess its some way off still
Yes, it's very possible, but we don't want to remove old editor when new one is still missing some - not many at this point - features.
I honestly want to be sure that everyone, especially modders won't have any issues with making maps because we forgot to implement something
AYE WHO THE FUCK ADDED A UNICYCLE
i know this is sort of off topic but this...just...this...i know what the next update is
there's also a mattress so...i'm just gonna lay all this info out here and yall can run with it if you want. speculate till your fingers crack
time to get used to the new editor I guess
That's the walk-mode player
why would the walk mode player be a unicycle when you can just press f? was it always there after the walk-mode update?
The walk mode player moves using a ball-like nodeplacement, I don't think there's a way to hide a vehicle (which the player technically is) inside the vehicle selector, which is why it's shown there. No, it wasnt there before the update.
It was always there since 0.22, and I think they should have made it unselectable, but it works, just crashes the game when you spawn one while already being one in walk mode.
ah, my mistake. thanks for telling me though, cause i would've totally assumed it was some kind of april fools thing
It was known that there will be a mattress even before the update, I posted a picture from the documentation here.
You can make configs hidden, but probably not whole vehicles.
I see that I am pretty lucky that I have never used the old editor and started with the new one
I mean if they coded the option to make configs invisible then why can't they code an option to make whole vehicles invisible too?
why would you want to disable an entire vehicle
Just to make it impossible to spawn the walking mode vehicle while walking because it crashes the game
