exactly he said the cars are very detailed and right after that said that they look bland for the third time he reacted to the second part of the post, he didn´t confirm anything, he just approved that @vmlinuz knows that the devs listen to the community
Why Friday unlikely? --- Post updated --- I think making the hood openable for devs are just a few days...
I'm pretty sure the RoR character wasn't physics-based; for instance he couldn't collide with vehicles, or maintain momentum when the players stops pressing the walk button. Unlike this one in BeamNG, that is physics-based and can do those things.
the RoR character was also really primitive in terms of animation and such, to try and bind GTAV-esque fluid animations to a physics object would be a nightmare.
If the wendover can use a supercharged v6 like the legran, does that mean both uses the same engine? --- Post updated --- wen rele salad wedover !?
that would be interesting. it would be neat for like a space-future version that has that as well as a command button that turns on autopilot (ai)
Releasing on the days Monday through Thursday allows, at the minimum, one work day dedicated to bugfixes before the weekend. (Friday). If the Devs were to release an update on a Friday, they would then have to work over the weekend; Either working full or part time on bugfixing, or possibly even forgoing bugfix development until Monday; Neither of which are desirable for the developers, who would have to work over the weekends, or for the player base. who may receive less thorough and/or delayed hotfix releases.
A thought I just had about walking mode, with the addition of interaction points for cars, could that be the framework for interacting with our vehicles in more dynamic ways? I just mean interactions like swapping a blown tire for the spare, moving cargo in/out of a vehicle, stuff like that, probably not refuelling since we don't have gas caps (EuroTruckSim style refuel zone instead?) I'm really hoping when we get career mode, we'll be able to repair/replace certain parts of our vehicles instead of generating a "fresh" instance of the vehicle every time. I like the idea of keeping a beater running, things like unibody damage and stuff obviously can't be fixed just like that, but if I hit a rock and mess up my suspension on one side, I'm hoping I'll be able to just repair the broken suspension components and discard/replace the busted body panels. We don't really know too much about the career mode yet, and I know what I'm picturing is very SLR:R-esque, so I guess I'm just hoping that it goes more towards that direction over being overly forgiving or punishing (would be equally not fun or cheap to have to fix the whole car just to realign the suspension.)
What can I say, we do a little trolling Even if we don't get a character model, hopefully the character will have some sort of visual representation, will make Multiplayer a lot more interesting than it already is.
Quite surprised nobody has mentioned this yet, but Car_Killer posted this on community screenshots. What do you guys think it means?
It seems bigger to me and I think there are some new ramps, apart from the one the video is showcasing. The Gravity Fuel scenario includes refueling, you just drive into a predefined spot and the car automatically starts refuelling.
Isn't it already possible with the camera thing for the replay ? Maybe it's just a new form of art. Totally forgot about the gridmap revamp. Not gonna be in the next update IMO.
To me it looks like a ton of different variations of the gridmap loop-de-loop. The way they're all the same shape and position at both ends of the loops reminds me a lot of how the developers stack objects in blender, often with interchangeable items like wheels and tires, which makes me think maybe we are seeing toggleable map props? Probably not, but still, quite interesting.
