That seems to still be in the planning stages - make sure to get on over to that thread and give your input on what you'd like to see as part of a new Gridmap!
Yeah, that Wendover interior is a dead ringer for the Buick CRT push button screen. Hopefully the menus are cycleable. (skip to 5:06) The CRT predicted one of my least favorite modern trends-HVAC controls via the touchscreen. Also the closest match I could find for the digital gauges design is also Buick-the W body Regal
So... Given the current surge in developer posts, I would say the update is even closer than we thought. Could even be this week, though more likely next week
I would say Monday through Thursday is a safer bet because that leaves at least one weekday to listen to bug reports from the community. (The devs do hear your bug reports even if they do not reply to them! I learned this the hard way and made an ass of myself a couple of times. Sorry guys )

Worth noting that our physics-based approach to walking is similar to the one used in the Jurassic Park PC game as well as early builds of Half-Life 2, where it was removed because people died after running into walls.
I don't think you will be able to die in BeamNG so that's not a problem, also getting injuried after running into a wall is realistic. I really like this approach, it shows that BeamNG is good at simulating not only cars but also abstract walking... things lol. Also I wonder if you can drag race by running, I want to win like this against some slow beater
Don't worry, death or other forms of damage - while initially being experimented with - will not be a feature for walking.
can we take a Staff Pick as a confirmation? Also, BeamNG.drive does not need anything like dying, it´s not GTA, it´s a physics simulator. Edit: Diamond´s message did not load in for me.
One of my friends on discord just brought this question up and I was very unsure about it myself. Would it be possible to walk inside vehicles like the Travel Trailer or the Wentward DT40L?
mfw beam devs add oppressor mk3 based on pigeon in all seriousness though, im assuming gravity sliders will affect the the "player" the same way it does cars? imagine trying to jump between cars in low gravity lol
