Lets. I don't think the Crawler & Prerunner are fully-in game yet - but with this new modular system, there's probably a big stack of parts that need to be Jbeamed and put in game, so I imagine that it's going to take the better part of a month or so before everything's ready to go. I kind of wonder which (if any) of these parts are going to be mountable to the Charro short frame. I'm really excited to see a member of the dev team showing off vehicle parts in an incomplete state of development - that's a big plus, as it allows for a bit more community involvement in the development of components - if the community can behave responsibly. We must not sqaunder this oppurtunity.
We have Hopper Crawler and we'll get another one soon so I wonder if we get Baja/Safari map so we could have some fun with them?

Ferrettank brought it out this morning. Discussion is ongoing in the thread below, with several responses to questions already coming back in. https://www.beamng.com/threads/pick...r-the-modular-multi-tool-of-the-desert.71697/
So, the street truck is getting the body panels, roof lights, and (I assume, though not mentioned) new front bumper seen in those renders. I'm not exactly sure how the score class 8 trucks are spec'd out, but it looks like we will have everything we need to make one. Spoiler: Pics As for the frames... This has a dedicated cage for the single/extended/crew cab, no mention of the SUV frames. it would be really weird to see one for the D20/30, but that still leaves the Charro... It certainly is needed, but I saw no official references to one.
I think that it will be very realistic in terms of configuration, as the vehicle artist is a very big fan of crawling and off road vehicles.
I wonder if these prerunner/crawler parts will also be available for the charro/H series/roamer. (if not, we can always make them compatible...)
I don't really care if they use this main menu or not. I only want a responsive UI. I just can't believe how laggy and unusable it is, and my PC exceeds the recommended requirements easily. Before 0.19 or 0.18 Idk I was able to turn on hardware acceleration for the UI and it would perform somewhat better. Now even that's broken. The speedometer, vehicle selection and even the sliders are way too laggy and unresponsive that make this game feel unpolished. I know it's an Indie game that's not even in alpha state and the limiting factor is how the UI process is handled separatedly from the game process and that's why I never complained about this before, but the game reached a certain maturity that if they plan to replace the entire UI they must fix this issue.
I really hope that we get some sort of modern truck or van. Like the Mercedes sprinter, exept maybe under the cherrier name.
Hey, does anyone else remember that the current 'Rusty' skin for the D-series is only meant to be a placeholder? What do we figure the odds are of its replacement being ready in time to be applied to inagural test drives of the crawler/prerunner?
I don't know, tbh. It looks kinda weird on the crew cab model. There's a huge thing on the crew cab that isn't rusty, even when you put the skin on.
I'm pretty sure it's because the Rusty skin's UV maps was designed on the regular cab and not the crew cab
