I would love to have various tire brands of various quality, from crappy retreads, to mediocre new stuff, to top-of-the-line rubber. And winter tires.
I myself want some balding rubber made available for 5-lug wheels (I want a run-into-the-ground Grand Marshal taxi). Interesting thought about the bias-ply tires. I'm starting to wonder if the dev team is working on better simulating the sidewall behaviour of both. Bias-ply tires, for all their faults, do have at least one major advantage - they are much less likely to puncture when the tire sidewall impacts something like a curb.
also, tire temps and flatspots... Not only that, but also differnt brands for turbo-, superchargers, widebody kits, exhaustparts, wings, different visual mods (headlights, underglow, stuff u hang of your mirror,...)
It also would be nice if every tire had a specified production run, which would be useful for swapping stock tires for their period-correct counterparts:
It would be cool to have some ingame performance advice about tyres. Right now you can only guess which tire has which grip values.
On the sub-subject of the bolide and how it's "kinda sorta body-on-frame" remaster would be like, here is my two cents on it. I would think that if and when it does come around that their would be more shape to the car even after all the panels had been removed kind of like a vector or fiero instead of the large scale go kart we have currently. Left: Vector W8 chassis. Right: Pontiac fiero drivetrain/chassis/panel breakdown.
Speaking of, how does the "Grip-All Radial T/A" stack up against the generic Sports tires? I think Sport might be a little better on pavement but I could never really figure it out.
Pretty sure the Bolide is meant to have a "platform chassis" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Platform_chassis?wprov=sfla1
the design of it is very closely based off the miura prototype chassis: though the actual miura has more frame/bodywork permanently attaching it to this structure, which can't be removed (other than carefully drilling out welds). and the piccolina technically uses the beetle's design of platform chassis, though it's not separatable in game. i'd expect that when the bolide gets redone, it'll just be one piece.
stop All i said is that update might be kinda close (like 1 or 2 months still) enough that they don't feel like releasing a hotfix for small bugs
Releasing any update, even hotfixes, is a significantly difficult and time consuming task, so we try to only do those for game breaking issues.
