50mph head ons are like hitting a solid wall at 50, you'l notice in derbies that the barriers roll under the cars and the hard barriers are spaced far away for a reason. I wouldn't do it in any car. because thats a very sudden way to slow down. I don't enjoy internal bleeding and displaced organs!
Its funny really, you get people saying 2 cars hitting each other at 50mph head on is like having a 100mph crash, but mathematically its actually no different from hitting a wall at 50
Gotcha, it was mostly in fun, but to each their own. Why don't we team up on the guys that don't like derbies/banger racing? Haha
The wall only pushes back with equal force, which means the wall will behave exactly like an identical car crashing head on into you if you're both going the same speed. This is why when you put a glass down on a table it doesn't ping off into the cieling. You can also look at it from the perspective of a "budget" of relative velocity and mass. you double the relative velocity or closing speed of the vehicles but you also double the amount of mass to disperse the energy into so you end up with the same fraction.
No problem with that. Anyone bashing ANY car racing/destruction hobby or sport had better pack a lunch. Been a NASCAR fan for decades so I'm used to the silly and cliché references to inbred rednecks stuck turning left all their lives. Fuck 'em all.
haha, oh yeah. And when you tell people that you like demolition derbies... Then they say, "Those are stupid. What's the point of hitting cars together?" xD
They live boring, contrived and useless lives. "Sitting in the stands at a demo derby and fig 8 event is a seriously wonderful time of kindred brotherhood that transcends the utter stupidity of hordes of Kardashian cultists." -George Orwell.
Cant beat banger racing haha, but probs say different if i was american! been in a few trains just like nothing! at least banger races aint run on a ploughed field as cant get no speed but they only use lap belts soo probqably good to keep speed down!!! #51 --- Post updated ---
