Well, let's take a dive into that claim. I will be looking at the F-150 as compared to the Silverado 1500, Tundra, and Ram 1500 (screw it, I'll throw the Nissan Titan in as well). Each truck will be a crew-cab short bed model with leather seats, navigation, upgraded stereo, and 4 wheel drive. Engine shall be whatever gives best towing capability. I choose these options because it's how I (and many other suburban living Americans) would option a truck. Let's start with the Silverado: Ah... it seems that their website (much like their truck) is completely broken. The Toyota Tundra it is, then. It's important to note that a leather interior is only available on the "Limited" trim level and up. Navigation (and JBL sound) is, apparently, only available in one exterior color (?). (This truck STARTS at $30,000) Next is the Ram. Leather seats and sound required 4 full trim levels above the basic "Tradesman" adding almost $18,000 to the MSRP BEFORE options. Up next, the Nissan Titan. This one started at $37,000 (bloody hell) for the base model, but I needed to build an SV (second trim level from bottom) to include out options. All packages you see listed came as standard. Please note that this truck is LEASED. The financed MSRP made me about die and I wanted to give it the best fighting chance. Now for the venerable F-150. It's a Lariat trim level truck, two above the base XL. I even cheated, it has extra features I don't care about. I would argue this truck is optioned higher than the ones above it. It's cheaper than the Tundra AND the Titan, and only a couple grand more than the Ram (when similarly equipped). I wish I had the Silverado here, I really do. I'll Let you make the decision, either the F-150 is still the only truck here that's overpriced, or they all are. I think it's the latter.
I think they all are, but here's the problem. See, the problem is, you built a cowboy Cadillac instead of a real truck. A real truck would be a regular (maybe extended) cab, 6.5 or 8 ft bed, 4x4, basic stereo and upholstery. Do that, and I'm sure the results would be cheaper, though still overpriced.
I actually think trucks from the us arent over priced at all because a vw amarok wich is smaller than a f150 or ram is more expensive with the same spec and the ram ir f150 will have a v8 wich the amarok will not have also rams are much cheaper to insure than a amarok over here in germany
Everyone builds their truck differently. I specifically said that's how I would build one. To me, I built a "real truck". I feel a truck should be able to do everything. It should be comfortable and have lots of toys, while still having some off-road capability or haul a family, or tow a trailer. I think that's the beauty of a pickup, everyone can get exactly what they want. My dad has had an F-250 and two F-150's. The F-250 was a regular cab 4x4 with a 351. I believe one of two or three options on that truck was an automatic transmission. His first F-150 was a 2003 extended cab 4x4. Only options were 4WD and the 5.4L V8. His last one was a highly optioned 2010 FX4. That one was also an extended cab. He doesn't miss it because of that. It was bought with towing a camping trailer in mind, but the back seat wasn't really somewhere people wanted to sit for hours at a time. It's a shame, I loved that truck.
I really like the design language that Citroen has been using recently. That Hyundai though, just too busy, doesn't look bad, just doesn't look good either.
This car was designed and assembled in a country where people shit in the streets, rape their own daughters, and worship a river filled with corpses and human waste....by those standards the Nano is the best thing ever made (Yes I know India is a beautiful, culturally rich country, and most of it is not filled to the brim with rape and human trash, it's a joke)
Now you offended every single person in India I am not sure if this was here before, but what the hell are those front lights !?!
it looks worse on pics than it does in real life the worst thing of it is the sat nav because it doesnt have a dial to turn up the volume it only has somesort of touchscreen
Was this ever posted here? I think this one takes the cake. The '57 Aurora. Apparently it was an experimental car that was supposed to pedestrian-friendly or something. I'm not sure about the pedestrian-friendly aspect because this thing looks like it would give them a heart attack from its sheer ugliness.
