You need to press ctrl a and press all three location, rotation and scale so it stays in the engine bay.
hey anybody know about this mod? - i think you need an explanation on this one he said its an engine swap i do not know what engine model that guy copied it from or just he just built it himsel?f the only thing that this mod does is theres a sound mod for this but no engine model with sound? any explanation? please? if the video does not work just search = "Detroit V24 -71 Swapped Gavril T-Series! BeamNG. Drive"
I presume it's a video by "forgotten mustard", he makes all sorts of mod engines himself, mostly by chopping up the original engine meshes.
I need help from step 26, I think I opened materials in blender, I got quite a lot there, (maybe becouse engine is from automation and was painted a little bit (?)) but to the point, I dont know where can I find the materials.cs folder, I mean, it should be in car that I swapping engine from, but I dont see it here, name is different here or what? thanks
sorry for wasting your time but do you know anything about swapping engine models from automation to beamng drive? I have some questions
For step 27 I'm not sure how much code I'm meant to copy. Do I copy all of this or just the part with mapTo? Also which BeamNG folder do I drag it to?
Make sure you're importing the file through the Import menu in the top left of the UI. If that won't work, use an older Blender version like 2.79 as I've heard it's the newest one this works with
I tried putting the midsizes V6 in a shitty Russian NSX that doesn't actually have an engine model, but I realized that the engine cover is part of the body and not removable so I don't even know if its possible.
It is possible, even quite easily done if you know the basics of modeling Select the model(s) you want to modify, press Tab to go into Edit mode to bork the model further then hover your cursor over the "offending" model, press L on your keyboard as that should highlight the model you want and/or the other associated models if they weren't highlighted before that, press M then 'By Distance' as that will remove all the doubled vertices if it has any. Afterward, just simply delete it, press Tab again to go back into Object mode & import the model from BeamNG you want in its place
