Due to the recent .25 update, AI traffic has been behaving very erratically.
Does anybody have bugs and issues with traffic because of the recent update?
    *AI disappearing randomly
*All AI respawning after recovering the vehicle.
    *etc???

The police especially are just steamrolling over every car in the game to try and reach their suspects, and the spawning appears to happen 500 feet ahead of my vehicle, spawning cars where I can't even see them. Traffic also despawns quickly when they are the suspect of a police chase which messes up the cop AI and they have no idea where to go but continue the chase anyway.

I have also noticed the AI despawn issue and also the spawning taking way longer than normal.

I also keep randomly getting pulled over for "police collision" despite not even being near a police vehicle?! My assumption is that they must have done something weird to the hitbox of the vehicles and also to the function of traffic and chasing.

At random times, the AI will despawn just to respawn in some very specific far away location and then respawn again later in normal placement, almost as if it is trying to start an AI street race.

The new hotfix patches seem to have fixed a majority of these problems thankfully, although sometimes the police will chase me down even if I hadn't broken the law or was also in a police vehicle, leading to them pulling me over but then just driving off suddenly. I also seem to only run into "suspects" when they are travelling in the oncoming lane making it difficult to turn around and chase them, and I can't seem to find any suspects when just parked on the side of the road. There can also be multiple police chases happening at the same time, one with the AI police and another via the "this car is fleeing from you" system which is very confusing. Aiding in an AI police chase, the game will say "you have exchanged insurance information." I think instead, this system should be reworked with these considerations or suggestions:

    1. There should be a global list of suspects that can be pinned and kept track of if you are in a police vehicle, but for citizen vehicles, it would show all of the police that are chasing you.
    2. There should be a way to notify the player of any suspects as soon as they become a suspect. (i.e. if a citizen vehicle rams a cop car or speeds and initiates a chase, an alert should appear similar to the one that pops up when a suspect runs away from the player), and and AI police suspect should behave similarly to how it works when they flee from the player.
    3. The traffic blips should change color based on the situation, flashing bright blue and red for active police officers, being a more tame blue for inactive police officers, and a color like orange for suspects so they can more easily be kept track of.
    4. The police should be less focused on ramming head-on straight into people, and instead should try and create roadblocks, and ram the sides or tail ends of the vehicles (requires more logic but results in a more authentic chase experience), and the vehicles should drive a bit slower so they don't smash into everyone.
    5. The traffic should pull over and move out of the way for police vehicles, because all they do right now is hit the brakes and stay in the middle of the road making it really hard to chase a suspect.
    6. Some suspects should favor alleyways and less long stretches of roads to allow for a more complicated chase.
    7. You should be able to avoid and escape from the police by hiding out of sight of the police, and they should travel to the point where they last saw your vehicle (with a reasonable delay for prediction), patrol the area around you, and resume a chase only when they have line-of-sight with your vehicle, otherwise they will call it off.
    8. Police should not chase the player if they are in a police car, I don't understand why this occurs.
    9. At random (rare chance), citizen vehicles should attempt to run away if they are being pulled over by the player.
    10. Vehicles should be allowed to take dirt roads on certain maps if allowed by traffic settings, and chases should occur on them as well.
    11. Suspects should try and ram cop cars off the road as well if they are more aggressive and not driving a fast, light vehicle.
    12. Police don't chase suspects in the appropriate vehicles, resulting in cops picking cars that are too slow to chase fast vehicles, or too light to chase heavy vehicles. They should spawn more often with a vehicle class similar to that of the suspect.
    13. It would honestly be hilarious if there was a traffic option that allowed for on-foot police chases where they would all jump out as snowmen when the suspect is parked/stopped, or if they jump out of the vehicle and are unreachable by roads, and also if the suspect would jump out of the car and be escorted into the police car.
Although, here are some general issues that I have noticed persist throughout using the traffic system and hotfixes that probably need more attention:
    1. Traffic will sometimes "spawn" but not really, resulting in strange behaviors such as smashing into invisible vehicles, and hearing a vehicle go by that didn't actually exist. Sometimes they end up appearing visually if you wait long enough.
    2. AI does not slow down early enough for sharper turns and turns on surfaces with less traction, resulting in fast-driving AI drifting off the road and wrecking themselves often, or slamming into guardrails and walls.
    3. Traffic sometimes doesn't seem to spawn around the camera (and I don't know why this is only sometimes), but when I go into free-cam mode, the traffic should spawn around the camera and not the vehicle regardless of the conditions.
    4. Turning the camera around will often despawn and respawn traffic, this behavior should be adjusted so that traffic spawns based on the direction that the camera/vehicle is moving in rather than looking at, allowing for traffic to spawn more seamlessly when parked, and more normally when driving and looking behind yourself.
    5. Traffic rarely spawns behind the player, meaning there is almost no way to have people driving behind you unless you look behind yourself and wait.
    6. Traffic does not attempt to drive away after "insurance information has been exchanged," which should occur for small accidents with less people in order to reduce traffic congestion and mimic an authentic situation.
    7. Large vehicles spawn in inopportune areas and don't know how to make sharp turns so they will often drive into areas where they barely fit and scratch a wall trying to make a tight turn and block all of traffic.
    8. Sometimes AI will stop to admire vehicle accidents and that's pretty cool but they will sometimes never drive off, just blocking the road.
