I'm sorry...
I’ve been trying out this AE86 mod with a steering wheel setup, and I’ve noticed something odd with the force feedback. On small steering inputs it feels fine, but as soon as you turn the wheel more, the force ramps up way too quickly – almost exponentially. It ends up feeling way too stiff compared to the official cars in the game. Given how light an AE86 is supposed to be, I don’t think the steering should feel this heavy. I tried different configurations of the car in the mod, but the issue seems to stay the same. Lowering the overall FFB strength on my wheel doesn’t really fix it either – it just makes small steering inputs too soft, while the larger inputs are still disproportionately heavy. This makes precise driving, and especially drifting, really difficult. I’m curious if anyone else has experienced the same thing with this mod, and if there’s a known fix or tweak to make the force feedback feel more natural. Thanks!
hello. i like this mod a lot but i have a question. how can i port early configs (rally, drift, japan police, edc) to the new fixes? if theres someone that knows much about this stuff, can u please do it or at least show it for me? --- Post updated --- sry for bad english btw --- Post updated --- so i made a rally config, it may not be perfect, but it shoud be good for now. i think it has a worse engine than race config but ill maybe change it later --- Post updated --- btw change exhaust to large bore exhaust and overwrite the config --- Post updated --- and change the tires to some others cuz i forgot to change them
honestly after coming back to this mod after years of not using it i can say its super inaccurate and just a mess tons of mesh issues the engines are not as powerfull as the irl versions (example stock 4age in the mod makes 100hp while irl they make 128 exept for us versions wich is 112hp) the car weighs as much as a subaru imprezaa it should weigh about 900kg it weighs 1300 in game this mod desperatly needs a remake with more expandable content and better models and more quality
too bad that will never happen, OP has not updated the mod since like 2020, and the person who was originally updating the mod hasn't touched it in like 2 years.... Its safe to say this mod is pretty dead
I ended up doing that aswel, just looking through the thread to see if someone added any better engines, even though they're great it could do with some more. Low hp fun is decent but for 2nd & 3rd gear pulls it's not too great.
I wish i could, im extremely busy as work has me crippled currently, the one i done is a uk irl european one iv done it's not perfect but decent. Here's the base body of mine, car is complete as above images show but just to show you what the shell look is like.
alright.. what vanilla beamng car has simular suspention to the ae86 lol cant figure it out as its live axle --- Post updated --- ill keep posting updates here but i plan on realeasing it as a brand new mod EDIT: moonhawk looks like it has accurate suspention geometry --- Post updated --- ill keep posting updates here but i plan on realeasing it as a brand new mod ok thats super weird it worked on my end clear cache also im remaking the mod so be patient :3 --- Post updated --- ill keep posting updates here but i plan on realeasing it as a brand new mod ok thats super weird it worked on my end clear cache also im remaking the mod so be patient :3 --- Post updated --- giving it its own materials hehehhh its coming togeather ig --- Post updated --- can i have the chassis mesh? or is it the same as the original mod? --- Post updated --- paint ;p
