It would very cool if the rollcage was very costomisable like this mod https://www.beamng.com/threads/offroad-d-series-download-available.52590/ it lets you take certain parts out of the roll cage. well thanks, great mod so far and i hope you consider this!
I don't really use the van for driving, usually it's a crush car for the CRD monster truck...that will have to change when this mod is released
Is it going to be it's own car? Or will it be an H-series part setup like the Barstow? I hope it's the second option because of that awesome facelift!
im sooooooooooooooooooo happy that this mod is gaining progress again, i was sad that people were bugging u and wanted other things, they dont understand a creator can only make 1 thing at a time, and that this is what u wanted to do, im soo happy its back this is gonna be sooo siccc
I really am happy to see that this mod is alive and well. Your offroad mods are always a treat. I have a question that I hope you don't see the wrong way: Are you planning on making any special skins for it?
The skins looks all messed up on this mod, I must have broken it, and I do not know how to get it fixed. if anyone that know how to do texture work could help, that would be so great.
Were they ones designed to be colorable? If so, you kinda have to be specific on how they're coded in the material.cs files, otherwise they'll look weird.
The uw map for the skin looks all scrambled. And i have no info for it in my material.cs file, i only have texturs i have added there, the rest is taken from the original van zip file. This one have just the normal van body with a small part cut out of the rear floor And this one have 3 parts left from the van body, Roof & L+R Sidepanels What need to be done to fix this, is it in the model (I think so) Or is it in the material.cs file
the van looks a lot like a monster truck, bu without the huge tires, Ahh that spikes 2 Ideas. Idea no:1 when near completing, put the vehicle into 3 separate files ( for now ) build your current one, then build one with monster truck conversion to it ( your chassis would work fine ). Idea no:2 take the body off for mean time, then extend the back of the frame to the end of the vehicle, make the front suspension independence, and the rear like shown in the picture. ( with chassis have room for 2 spare tires ). Then re attack the body when done the 3D modeling, But give the shell a slight over fender for rear and front for wider stance. then re join all vehicles into the same folder , as there own 3 separate configs. and then you have the 3 most awesome vans in the game
Some more progress - Added the rear doors back (A bit modified) - Added some front seats (from one of the sports cars in the game) - Built a new seat frame for the front seats. - made a Jbeam structure for the front seats (one for the frame, one for the seat cushion, and one for the back rest)
Well the problem with the monster truck conversion is that a set of 66 inch tires won’t fit as the wheel wells are too small and the axles, engine, and driveshaft would not be strong enough to move with such large wheels. Other than that it would be a sweet idea
plus he could simply enlarge the thickness of the tubing, and increase the strength. and create a set of longer shocks to increase height of the vehicle plus as a tube frame, he could put a more powerful engine in also, 1000hp +[/QUOTE]
