I guess it that could be why (the most FPS-friendly Automation mod for me was the Jargl 4x4 vehicle, and even at that, it still lags a bit more than a regular BeamNG vehicle).
Automation cars lag as hell for me. I've had twice as big pileups with ordinary cars on gridmap and the lag was nowhere near what I experienced doing this:
I asked or more than stated that in 0.13 thread and Nadeox confirmed that too. They are very high poly, so they are going to lag more. If one has monster GPU, then it could be that easier physics of automation vehicles are helping, but add enough fixtures and that physics advantage goes downhill fast. They are much better than typical pretty to look, but drives nothing like real thing.
