How easy would it be to create a sliding tarp trailer out of one of the trailers we already have in the game?
Been playing RLS Career and transporting cars and had an idea. To have Wheel stop / chocks, allowcated under cargo slots to help stop loaded cars sliding off trailers. The stops could have diffrent width position types to match different trailers and be able to slide back an forth within the allocated cargo slot to allow different wheel bases and vehicle lengths. The wheel stops would have to be low profile so you can drive up and over them to load and unload cars. here are some examples. also it would be great to have a higher "off road" 5th wheel for the B trailers (Shipping containers and flat decks) due to the trailers currently fouling on off road maps.
That would be this: https://www.patreon.com/cw/Miniatur...mpaign-search-results&vanity=MiniatureSociety
I chose to keep the deformation characteristics consistent with the existing trailers. Changing node weights would require adjusting spring and damp values and I chose to forgo this in order to get it done in the few hours that I had to work on it. Because the 34 foot trailers use vanilla node variables, this causes some of the issues you see with certain loads. Because those loads are concentrated, there's more deformation along the length of the trailer that causes the binding of the door. Would take more indepth tuning that would ultimately change how it deforms in general. Strengthening the axles is more quickly addressable and I can look into this for a future update. The custom grip values were just taken from a variant of the mud tires. Some of the vanilla tires were far to slippery and the trailer acted unrealistically when they were equipped. I didn't go overboard or anything and just reused values from other vanilla tires. I could also add the tire variant you provided but I'm not sure when the next update will be. Thank you btw! Oh wow I wasn't even aware that load position could be altered thanks for letting me know. I'll start a hotfix sometime soon for this. I explored something like this for car hauler but it would be quite complicated and is better suited for jbeams that have a more conservative number of total nodes. I'm still looking into it as it would be perfect for flatbeds. Awesome photo love the color scheme!
Hi, TA. I got the lights' textures issue on your lowbed, sadly I still don't have idea that how it happed. Maybe I will tell you how this problem happen when I find it out. *Edit: It also happened on the Jeep Dolly*
I suggested this for Fun Physics' LoadMaster trailer, and so I may as well suggest it for yours too. "OVERSIZE LOAD" banner with the red warning flags at the rear.
