I have experimented with wider steer wheels but the steering geo isn't even remotely strong enough for it. It would snap tie rods even steering while stationary.
I know I have been asking a lot but is it possible to make a stubby version? Like one steering axel and one drive axel right next to each other?
Update v0.22: DAMN BOI, HE THICC!! - Added a new set of wide steer axle wheels - Added new stronger Dual-Box steering setups(Needed in order to handle the strain of the wide wheels) - Added version of the cab-over sleeper and Aero-cabs which are hacked up to give clearance for the twinsteer. - Added adjustable main steering limit to avoid clearance issues with the wide steers Note: The wide steers will collide with the conventional bull bar, twin steer mudflaps, and some cab-over fuel tanks.
Looks like the speedometer is reading low when a lift axle is in the air/not moving. Is there a way to fix this, or just use Airspeed?
I'll have to investigate further but I don't think there is a way to tell beam to exclude the tags from the speedo calculation. That I just built to make something as close to Spintires as I could. If you want a config for that I could put one into the next update.
It's appearing correctly on my end even with a clear cache. Maybe try clearing the cache or re-downloading the mod.
Do you know if it's possible to make the 'carnie' config have the rear wheels turn inward when the front wheels turn outward, so it can have an even shorter turning circle? And possibly being able to remove the rear frame so it can be shorter? I'm sorry I'm bothering you so much I just love this mod. It's really well made.
Steering I could do fairly easily. Unfortunately the third-person cam uses the rear frame for positioning so removing it causes some fucky stuff.
It’s very nice seeing this mods progression. Loved every aspect of it, as if the B-Series and the T85 combined
Yeah this was sort of started by my lamenting of those mods being broken by the 0.31 update Also, I have the perfect truck to use those nice new snorkels of yours.
Quite the interesting backstory! Also nice config, surely it’ll match well with the Aussie spec snorkels (I also added 2 new bullbar variants if interested)
