@p1nkbr0 you might try right clicking the beamng.exe and go to the "Run with graphics processor" context menu, click "High Performance NVIDIA processor" ^the context menu should look like this^ you should also try putting your pc in high-performance mode if it isn't already: http://tutznet.com/1943-windows-8-performance-mode/
i think beamng only uses one cpu core no more so that could be the problem like minecraft it uses one core only which is annoying and not well optimised either :/
... beamng simulates vehicles 1 car per core/thread, it is not possible to simulate it any other way without major UNFIXABLE problems beamng relies on single threaded performance because of this (meaning cpu's with low single threaded performance, such as AMD fx cpu's, will have trouble with beamng) the OP however should not be having a problem, meaning this is a glitch of some sort on his pc also why the hell are you comparing minecraft with beamng, they aren't even CLOSE to being the same thing
Minecraft can also use more than 1 core, but mostly doesnt need to so windows and linux both have a tendancy to whack all its threads on just the 1 core (which is more energy efficient and helps guarantee the threads remain in sync).
i wouldnt bash a laptop machine on beamng my laptop is a i7 4810mq, 16 gb of ram and a nvidia gtx 860 and i can still pull 10+ garvil pickup trucks on usa small island map and stay above 30 fps on ultra so laptops are more then capable to run this game
lol i have a gtx 760 and i ultra every single thing with no problem. however impact lags when i crash at higher speeds with some but not all cars. it's not a first time thing as it happens every time with certain vehicles and it should be improved on. these forums are pretty dead and i don't hear shit from any devs about new updates either. bleeh.
C'mon man, did you even read the thread? This game is less dependent on your GPU and more on your CPU. Clearly your GPU is fine because I have the same one and have no issues. Maybe your CPU is the bottle neck. Hell maybe it's something I rarely see on these forums as a potential issue and maybe your HDD is your bottleneck. No one knows, this game still isn't even a game so you need to expect optimization issues because it's not even close to being finished. They aren't even done with the core engine yet which means there will be more optimization but it is going to take time. Software development is a very slow process especially if you want to do it right and these devs want to do it the proper way and not cut corners.
