Driving and trying to brake with my left foot.... All I can say is the ABS activated for a brief moment
I'm fine with an auto daily driver. A car that's not really fast or fun doesn't really have to be a manual. Like my dad's highlander that I'm gonna be driving is auto. Doesn't really bother me.
my first car might me a 93' explorer 2 door,it obviously comes with a auto transmission or i could get a geo metro that comes with a manual,a geo gets more MPG than a prius xD
Earlier today I swam (in a large lake) in the middle of a very serious thundershower. Multiple lightning strikes near me on the lake. Probably stupid, but at least im charged
hahaha get the lame geo, as long as you're not in a rust prone area. Its so much fun having a manual, and you're gonna get mad mpg.
Take the geo. my brother used to have a hole fleet of fire flys and metros for a delivery job he was doing, they are great fun, awesome on gas and if you ever get it stuck just get out and lift it out....lol I had a usa version 4door 4cyl 5 speed for a bit wile I worked for him it was pretty quick for what it was. 4cyl is a pretty big step up for one of those over the 3cyl.
Reasons for manual: Way more fun, even on the shitty 3 cylinder daily driver Better fuel economy possible from both humans knowing better than the auto box, reduced weight and increased efficiency over the typical torque converter setup Better performance possible from humans knowing better than the auto box Strip out 2nd gear on a manual somehow? Eh, you don't need it, shift 1st to 3rd, no probs. Flat battery? Bump start it. Smash a syncromesh somehow? Don't need it, rev match instead, hell old cars and alot of trucks dont even have syncromesh. Car stalls out with no fuel on a railway line with a train coming, stick it in 1st, try to start the engine, the starter motor alone is plenty strong enough to shift a vehicle out of immediate danger (or you want a less far fetched scenario, maybe you've run out of fuel on a busy city intersection, starter motor may enable you to get the hell outta the way). The starter motor is not designed for that so will certainly wear out quicker and drain the battery but if absolutely required it will get your car right out of the way. You have a lot of redundancy there. Hell, if your clutch is jammed in the engaged position, you can start a manual while in gear (again noting more battery drain and motor wear) and shift gears without the clutch (rev matching), knacker a torque converter and you are buggered. - - - Updated - - - Oh, I forgot improved engine braking via gear shifts followed with stalling the engine out in the event of brake failure, leaving the car in gear as an alternative to the parking brake if that fails.
I tried to jump over a fence when I was 10, resulting in my throat being pretty much ripped open when I slipped and fell on the end of the fence (it had spikey things at the top). Spoilers it was not fun
Hello ded, i am Alwyn I think i have completely lost the plot now, send help before anymore awful puns occur
