    Looking good above, pretty clean.

Something I'm trying, modelling a car starting from a very basic shape then adding details. It's 557 Tris now (w/out the wheels).

Very nice. Now all you gotta do is put that in a Microbus or Baja Bug ;)

EDIT: Actually, I think I'll try and do the Baja bug :p

I started making a mini cooper (first time 3D modeling) until I realized how ridiculously hard jbeam is to set up. Maybe I'll work on it again when jbeam is simplified for the layman.

I think once they add slidenodes it will be possible. Or even a formalised tracks system. People have done it in rigs of rods and the things they used to make them should be coming to BeamNG. Mainly because they are also needed for a McPherson strut (very popular suspension type).

I'm already working a sand rail model.
    2x the vw's = 2x the fun... lol

I would appreciate if someone can help me out on this new .jbeam stuff though...
If someone wants to help, please pm me...

I can't even make a box. I made vehicles in ror, but I can't figure out the tool chain for beamNG.

This is around 6 afternoons' worth of work.
The hardest part of modelling the car probably was making sure the transaxle didn't look like a giant cock and balls. The transaxle looks like a giant cock and balls.
It's totally ready for a jbeam, but I'm too much of a spanner to get it done properly. Anyone up for building a n/b and jbeam? :p

edit: also needs a name D:

Looks like you need hard edges right in the panel gaps so it doesn't look weird.

Now in single carb and dual carb versions...
Still need to finish the fuel lines to the dual carbs.

    NUR XR1 (Cock`n`Balls Edition):p

Hey Zappy Thx for your Tut on getting started with Blender, it helped immensely with sorting the blueprints.

I started this the other day and I think I have a few issues and not sure how to fix or explain

    NUR XR1? Nah.

Glad to know my tutorial helped at least one person. :D

Go into edit mode, highlight all the vertices and press CTRL+N to recalculate the normals. All the weirdness you see in your mesh will likely disappear.

Some of my unfinished models. Some Zmodeler, some 3Dmax. There were a lot more but they just lost during the years of windows reinstalls and formats..

Wouldn't it be handy to make this a sticky thread?

I agree. I had to go searching for this thread quite a bit just to post. I knew it existed but...
