Released Speedometer V0.3

I installed the 0.3 version, but, I got really NO idea how to open it..

I tried to open the console and enter: gauges.showGUI() but it just gives me an error code. Please help.

I get an error also. I put it in my beamng.drive folder and merge the lua and tools folders. I get this:


I don't know what to do now. Any help?

could you do an installation video of this mod please so I would know how to install it because its tricky for me to install..

 

Sorry I've been too busy with the editor lately. And my work also... The end of the year is pretty hectic.
I will do that. And will also check if it still works with the latest changes.

 

Thanks that would be grateful if you did you have to remember some of the users on this site dont know how to install the complex mods like this one...or you could build an installer...for it that does it automatically...idk

 

It would be really nice if you would add fuel consumption in the gauge (if possible).

 

A PRNDL would be dope as well.
Or just a plain window in the speedo that shows the current gear.
The audio isn't much to go by for shifting in this game (so far). hahaha

 

Hope the tutorial will be here soon, I wanna try this so badly..

I have the V0.3 but i don't have the save and load config in game.

When i exit BeamNG the speedo reset.

Anyone can help me?

I have a problem with the speedometer. (See attachment for photo)
As you can see in the attachment/photo, the speedometer simply doesn't show. I checked that I installed it correctly, and found nothing wrong.
How do you make the speedometer show?

 

You may need to press F10 to open the in-game editor and adjust the speedo. It can't be auto-adjusted (at least couldn't last time I tried). When the editor is open you should see a kind of draggable panel somewhere containing the speedo (you may need to use the scrollbars).
If not it's something else. Maybe your console did output some error ? (press ' or ` or ´ or some key related to a single quote to open it).

I honestly don't understand the install process, I followed the instructions all to no avail, even tried the so called lua installer and boy that's a waste of time. If anybody could help that would be great

 

Yup, it is too damn complicated you have to edit some files too... Finally did it again There was somebody who uploaded his "main.lua" file, for me it works with it (You have to put it in lua/system)

 

This shows up in the log when I try to open the GUI and nothing happens:

You must have forgotten to edit your "gamePath\lua\system\main.lua" file and include 'gauges = require("gauges")' into it. If you do everything described on the first post it should be fine.

 

Ok, thanks! it's working now! As I downloaded v0.3, I thought that I only had to do the "Beta 3 - Installation" part of the first post and not the "Beta 1, 2 - Installation"

 

Ok well I'll add a comment in the first post to make it clear for everyone. I was feeling like this could be the problem for some.
