For now, you can either directly attach the hook to the car, or do what @broohh said, but in some next update, a roll back car transporter with car loading attachment for the crane will come, just be patient
Hey, MrCrash and Alex_the_Gamer, fantastic work on this mod. Are there limits on the extend boom if the crane is lifted all the way up? Was this intentional?
Is there a way to connect the crane to another car in order to lift it? --- Post updated --- Is there a way to connect the crane to another car in order to lift it?
Great mod, keep up the good work, I do notice a few issues with the offroad version of the truck though, when attempting to go up the rocky hill on Gridmap, the front tyres pop very easily. The second problem I encountered was when I was doing the offroad course on Hirochi Raceway, all four of the front wheels on the front axle popped off. I presume it could be due to the powertrain over-torquing the wheel hubs, causing the hubs to fly off with the wheel. The third problem is the rear door of the dump bed opening backwards and not being able to make it open properly after I connect a cargo load. Other than those few problems, it is overall a great mod and just as a suggestion, Can you improve the collision on the upper half of the cab? Most of the front of the cab just disappears whenever I impact that area. P.S. It happened to me again, however on a different part of the course. P.P.S. I can indeed confirm the problem is over-torque. The orange line means that there is a ridiculous amount of torque being sent backwards through the drivetrain.
First of all, I see you're using automatic shifting with the manual transmission, and jolting the entire drivetrain in high gears to make shockwaves of torque through the drivetrain. Of course, that will break stuff, especially with this low gearing and high torque engine. Second, because that truck is still using factory parts (because custom suspension is yet to be made), I wouldn't expect that suspension to survive such hard offroad use. Third, you really should take it a lot slower through there and more carefully, unless if you wanna go facefirst into some rocks and get stuck xP Still noted nonetheless, we will look into the front wheels flying off when they really shouldn't
No promises, but we're planning a truck trial version, a dakar version, and an ETRC race truck version
I was using manual transmission but with automatic clutch. On the video, I think the problem was that the wheel got stuck between the rock and the sand bank so it simply couldn’t move, coupled with the locked differentials, the whole forward assembly became locked in place and couldn’t turn the wheels and just snapped the wheels off from shear stresses put on the wheel by the torque.
Well that would be expected, because the crawler has 6.00:1 gearing on the axles and about 15.8:1 gearing in first gear in the 16 speed ZF transmission, and that makes for mad forces
