Thanks! Will it conflict with the ETK800?

Nope. At least I don’t think so.
If they’re the same exact as the 800 (same textures, shinyness etc) then nothing should change.

I have to texture the model again with textures from a different car because of this mess, you can see in the picture.
I will use different textures, but will actually rename them in blender. I hope, it will work...

I have made a decision: After messing the whole afternoon with different textures, I decided, I need any good and quick texturing tutorial. I tried everything and some attempts even looked not bad (picture). But as soon, as I tried, to fixe these small issues, everything went wrong. To get it to its saddest thing, I accidentally deleted the files... But I made an BACKUP!!! The thing is, that my motivation is nearly gone now. I NEED texturing tutorials, if this mod should go on. Otherwise, I have no clue, how every f****ing modland meshslapper can create or slap proper textures and I can´t.
So, if anyone want to help me with textures, then feel free, to write in this thread. I NEED YOUR HELP!!!

For now I will pause, working on the mod, because school starts again, and I won´t have that much time, as I said a few times already. I will do something else in the meantime, like modifying vanilla cars in blender or something like that, until I feel motivated enough, to work on the mod again. A big SORRY to everyone, who is exited on the mod, but IT´S NOT DEAD!!! IT´S ONLY... ... ON VACATION... (What a terrible metaphor)

Ok, that´s it for today. I might write something, if anyone helps me and even I might working on the JBeam of the mod, but texturing? NOPE (for now...)

    Greetings, Schmitti

PS: The picture, your can see, was a version, that worked kinda, but then after relaunching the game, it didn´t, so I deleted it.

    Hmm.
In Blender, you can use the UV mapping tab to unwrap the textures (looks like they’re already unwrapped in this model though), and you can try selecting both an 800-Series body and the Skoda and attempting to fit parts of the Skoda where parts of the 800 are. So like where you see the underbody of the 800, you try to put the UV mapping of the Skoda’s underbody. And like that, fit all bits into place. It’s very sketchy and it will propably look ugly, but that’s what I came up with.
Maybe there’s some good texturing tutorials, I may look for some.

Thank you for the help. How you got this idea? It sounds quite strange... But I will keep it in my head. I searched too, but except a tutorial by MorzBNG, which I already tried and for some reason, it didn't worked, I found nothing... I hope some guy like Fillman86 will do a tutorial on this, because, I used some of his videos as a help, but he has nothing in this way...

For now, I will concentrate on the JBeam of the mod, which will be hard enough I, guess...

Yes, but after relaunching the game, it didn't work for some reason...

I guess, this mod is harder, than I thought. But I won't give up!

Expect new JBeaming progress not so soon. It is very complicated and hard. I´m currently using the doors of the vivace, the body, bumpers, hood, tailgate and fenders, from the covet. To make everything attached correctly and fill out the car mesh, is quite difficult. For the combi, I still need to edit the JBeam and I have to edit it in a slight way for the hatchback. Progress is going slowly, but steady. I got during school only like a half hour every day, to work on this mod, so I can´t do that big progress in short time, but I will try, to finish the JBeam on the weekend!

By the way, the "on hold" will go back to "wip", until I got further in therms of materials and textures, I´m currently using my own, self-baked materials, but having some big issues to fix. But i will try to fix everything. I already asked someone with big experience, for help...

I will try my best, but don´t expect too much in the next time. I´m quite busy, but I will spend every free minute, I have, on the mod!

    Progress time!!!
Now, the Jbeam is ready. It brings along some issues with the openables (hood and tailgate of both bodystyles do not open, on hatchback version, the tailgate pops open after resetting). But despite this, it works fine.
I know, they are sketchy and not as good, as they could be, but I´m still a novice, at modding and JBeaming, so I will keep this.
That´s it for today, I hope you like it.
    Greetings, Schmitti

    Great!
Take your time, jbeaming isn’t the easiest thing in the world :p
Also, the openables you say? Hmm.
I had a trunk not open for me and not only did I lower its weight, but also changed some beam spring and damp (it was for some reason all generating a lot of stress, if you keep pressing Ctrl+B for a while, you’ll eventually get to old stress, then stress on the beams) as well as some other parameters.
Now it somehow works (although it closes shortly after opening, oops :p), so just so you know, it’s alll just mind games. Play around a bit with the openables code, and make sure to make backups.

Yes, I know, it´s hard, but I spend now almost two weeks, only with JBeaming. And this version, that I will keep for now, is my 5th attempt, to edit a JBeam. I will try, to fix these issues, but the thing, I´m the most worried, are the materials and textures. Tomorrow, I will try, to create a whole new metallic map, for the car and hope the best, that I will get this clear coat issue solved.
As already said, I wrote to someone, with lots of experience and he gave me some very valuable tips and help. But I still have the clear coat issue, and don´t know, how to overcpme it. So in therms of textures, I still have some things to do. I already baked custom ones, wich already looking very good, but due to the clear coat issue, they look to matte... Maybe, I will open a troubleshoot thread for this, if nothing helps, and hope, that someone of the devs will answer. :D :D :D

Okay, that´s it for now. If I made progress on materials, I will show it to you, but it may take a while.
    Greetings, Schmitti

Wow, that looks nice. I really hope you can solve this, sadly I can’t help because I don’t know too much about materials :/

My wifi isn't good where I am right now (I don't even know if this will go through) but I recently helped someone with your clear coat issue here: https://www.beamng.com/threads/trying-to-make-pbr-settings-work.93500/#post-1618929. If that doesn't work or you need help with other things let me know and I'll respond when I see it lol
