The steering wheel of the C20 is less complicated than the one above. In 2001, F1 cars have less electronics than now (no KERS, no DRS...). So, they have less buttons. Give up is not an option for me. I really want to finish it. However, I am not alone on this project and I haven't got news from my partners for the moment.
Is it okay if I come with some inputs? Now, I'll be honest I didn't read through all of the comments, I had a quick look, but a few things I want you to be aware about is that the Safety cell cannot deform, or it has to be really hard for it to derform because the whole point of it is to keep the driver safe. The engine and gearbox compartment needs to be able to break off in a crash with a lot of energy. It will just add to the realism of the car. I really hope you can get this car out sooner or later because I think it would be a great addition to Beamng. I've been looking for a good open wheel car for a long time. If the time comes to where you need people to test the performance off the car and how it drives, I'd be happy to help. I have some real life racing experience together with countless hours of sim racing.
Wow, already looks epic. Please continue and stop stop. I will be so happy, when it's finished. Just as a small hint, create enough Breakgroups. When a F1 car crashes it can break into a lot of pieces. So every Part (Nose, Engine, Tires, Ccockpit, Bodywork, Spoilers...) should be able to break of the others.
I can confirm that this will defiantly happen if and when it's properly made. Currently waiting on whatever the others in the project are doing.
Good to hear that! I also really like the alpha version of the Bolide Racecar Mod you are making. Will there be any more updates? Because it has a lot of potential.
Is this car going to have proper aero that will help with cornering? And will it be able to lift up it goes over a large bump? (I don't know how the aero works in BeamNG) example: But whether it does or not, I'm really looking forwards to smashing this into every rock or wall in the game!
Areo is pretty simple but making a proper ground plane simulation for diffuser downforce isn't really correctly doable. Blowovers are hard to balence for speed without increasing stright on drag.
Hi guys ! Sorry for the few news but I was in England for an internship the last 12 weeks and I didn't have the possibility to work on the mod. I'm now back at home and I have to contact the contributors on this project to provide an update on the mod.
