I'd rather be skydiving then on the ground. Going slow is not more appealing to everyone. Also, you get a lot of use out of a race car. I have played games and driven fast cars, and driving in a car is much more fun than playing Forza. I'd rather be in a Neon SRT4 IRL than I would be in a Hypercar in Forza.
I'm just going to be honest and say that I've never really done much other than gaming, I've been too out of shape, unmotivated, uneducated and unskilled to ever do much for entertainment other than gaming(which I honestly dont even enjoy that much) partly because I'm never handed an opportunity to do anything, and partly because there is nothing I want to do and partly because I dont even know what I could do other than gaming.
Not to mention that you don't actually need a race track or something, an empty parking lot or empty road will suffice for getting your fun. --- Post updated --- Go outside and fuckin do something instead of wallowing around.
Everyone tells that to me but never tells me what to do or gives me a way of doing it... As for the first thing you said... do I even need to point out how dangerous those things would be?
Not our problem. Stop being so damn scared of everything and live life. And stop offering your woefully uninformed opinion until you've actually experienced what you're talking about. Yes you do. Tell us how driving around an empty parking lot is dangerous. I really want to hear why. You're putting yourself at far higher of a risk of dying young by being out of shape, uneducated, and poor, than you would by doing any of the things that have been mentioned in this thread.
Because you never go outside to find them. DO SOMETHING. Ride a bike. Make a friend. Work on something. Etcetc.
Neither do I, and I still know that a backroad at 50 MPH is more fun than a video game at 150 MPH. Oversteer in games is a frustrating annoyance; with nothing to go on but sight and sound, I often can't react quickly enough to keep it under control (especially with my unstable wheelstand which is actually a TV tray with some heavy books for balance). In real life, it can be controllable and fun, because you can feel what the car is doing and use that to react more quickly. That - the feel of it, the realness of it - is such an integral part of driving that no video game will ever measure up.
Even if I went outside I wouldn't be able to find things to do, there just isnt anything I'd want to do that I know of.
I dont even know how I'd do that though... the only thing I can even think of doing outside of the house is just going out to eat.
What I was trying to say is that The weight is on top of the Wheels on the front which is more traction in slippery conditions and it's proven
until you accelerate hard and weight transfers rearwards. There are also FWD vehicles that aren't front heavy in first place
I have only driven FWD myself but I am working on getting into an RWD soon I hope but as of yet the insurance is too damn high, but I enjoy FWD because well its fun at the lights in wet conditions with DSTC off you have to modulate the throttle just so to get a good launch or its wheel spin, understeer into a wall, but I have it sorted I do have rather good throttle control
Stop complaining about the unsafety of racing. You have roll cages, straps holding you in, helmets and in built fire extinguishers in the car. Even if you only watch tv you could see that so many drivers walk away from crashes at 200+ km/h because of all the safety improvements to the cars. The only thing hurting in a crash is your wallet.
And a hurt wallet is more than enough reason to avoid it, and even in a crash you can walk away from you'd still end up with bruises and possibly broken bones, which is again, more than enough reason to avoid racing. edit: and there would probably also be mental trauma so there's even more reason to avoid it, the main reason is still cost however.
Why are you so afraid of everything? It's unsafe to cross the road, and even to walk on the sidewalk, are you going to stay in all the time just so you are safer? Then you will be out of shape and also unsafe. Everything can be unsafe. Breathing at a different rate can be unsafe so why don't you just stop breathing?
I'm not afraid of everything, I just dont like taking unnecessary risks and I pretty much do stay inside all the time. and I am actually afraid to walk on the sidewalk partly because I worry about losing my balance and getting hit by a car. I have absolutely no confidence in my own abilities and honestly just wish I was able to enjoy life :\
