Great find for $300. My Olds is exempt from emissions because its over 25 years old, so no more annual inspections, I'm happy to say.
i got myself a rare V6 AWD Covet ZXi its stripped, no radiator, no bumpers or lights and no hood nice new money pit --- Post updated --- *4 days of non-stop work and a lot of money later* its done! i got a car to drive while my pessima is in the shop
d a n g I was cruising along in my Roamer, when this Pessima comes out of nowhere and merges into me, essentially pitting me. The Pessima fled the scene, but was later found. Turns out it was stolen. I'm not at fault, and I have collision insurance, so I'll get the car repaired, but for a while, looks like I'll be driving my Olds. That interior restoration is now higher on my list of priorities. Police haven't found the guy who crashed into me, but hopefully they do.
I survived something crazy too. Don't know how either. Magical. Just magic. Steering wheel flew into my hand cutting it off. One of my legs did not like the crash because it got squashed by the dashboard pushing a piece of the roll cage into it. So my right leg and my right arm are missing. Recovering at the hospital. From his friend, Jimmy. (Just read it like I would be saying it. ) --- Post updated ---
Interior fix'd. For about $800, and a few hours of work, I've got myself a nice daily for a while, or a secondary car. Going to eventually get the junkyard rims off and put some nice ones on, but that's not too important right now.
Thanks, I'll be selling some parts of it. I'll miss that car so much. I put so much work into it, but it was still unsafe.
Well Since its 2019 I've decided to update on two special cars, I've gotten rid of the Bruckwell, Burnside, And LeGran due to a neighbor wanting to pay a premium for the 3 as a bundle. Which left me with the Covet, Now the covets body was scrap metal but all of the other pieces held onto the body could be saved. So I bought a fire damaged race covet from the junkyard, A Seized 2.0L V-Tec Built motor with a turbo, Moldy 5 Point harness racing seats and some sweet wheels. For a grand total of 5,000$ I then got rid of the surface rust/ fire damage and cleaned up the seats real good. Then came the tricky part which was the engine. The junkyard owner thought the crankshaft split in two pieces but what actually happened was the Valve terrain was screwed up, The inside looked like metal spaghetti so I replaced it with a Valve terrain that had a recorded 38,456 Miles on the original engine. I paid some body repair shop to install a roll cage and I took the EU plates off of my Delta 88 and installed them onto the covet with some custom text. So far this is what it looks like, I'm not done adding but when the snow melts away this will hopefully be a track day monster! My Other Project car is My Delta 88, the Delta's are rare but getting parts are easy because its just a modified Oldsmobile " B body " frame/ body thus the reason there are many fakes out there. I cleaned up the surface rust and got a paint job from Macco for 700$ The Engine bay was tided up and it received half of a built V8 motor, I just have to find a top end for it now along with a hood and replace the rusted stock suspension. More to come...
Picked up a nice Grand Marshall Luxe for $2500. A good deal, seeing as it's in fantastic condition. Two tone, and a deep red interior. A bit of a strange color combo, but it works alright. I figured I could use a daily, especially because I think that I'll be doing a few slight mods on my (newly repaired!) Roamer. It's also nice having a bit of a classier car to show up to corporate meetings in, even if I work for Turbo Burger. A Luxe trim Grand Marshall fits in better to a sea of ETKs and upper-trim Hirochis and whatnot than a base trim 90's SUV. The Cruiser will probably need a new home, although I'm not totally done with it. I'll be moving soon, not even a mile away from my current house, but finances, garage space, and I suppose time will all be a little tighter in the very near future.
If you need some more garage space I have a small parking garage I'm clearing out that I'll sell to you for 1,000 dollars. It's just near the bank in WCA
Tell ya what, I might take you up on that. I’ll take a look at the place, or if you have pictures, that works too, and I’ll think about it. $1000 might not be in the budget right now, I’ll see, but I hate to give up my hobby of project cars.
Alright. I might throw in a couple free cars I'm too lazy to move out. It's called the Apex Parking Garage just near the Royal Bank
Today seems like my lucky day! First the snow cleared and secondly, Ibishu of Firwood is holding a time attack event with permission from the mayor to use the streets. There's a admission fee of 500$ but the 1st place prize is memorizing, They have 2 Spark Sports Ibishu Racing cars and you had to choose one of them as your prize! Obviously Spark Sports is basically " JEsU " so a lot of people came from around the country, some locals came but a lot of the people were in full blown racecars. But they were in sedans or minivans, as far that I know of I'm the only person that has a Covet. But the others have N2O or fully gutted interiors and there's one Pessima that has a TT setup but it breaks down a lot and some people claim to hear knock? Anyway the dealer is going to start soon so wish me luck!
Yea, but they do have a FWD class where people who have a FWD drive terrain and make less than 700HP can enter.
