I was heading down to fix yet another YETI bus, and then some spanner in a 98' Impreza slammed into the side of my van at 80 mph. Here is what happened. Right, should be up the street from here.. What're you doing? WHY?! I was put in hospital for severe but non life threatening injuries after this happened.. So I'll just show you pictures that I took unedited from the news.
Window? Door? What part of the car was it? And just to bring up, i saw a chicken next to a restaurant, and got a picture of it!
The same thing happened to my old Covet that I used to own.. I believe it was the same kids actually, those little shits blew out my right door window. About 2 years ago, I never caught them and I had to pay for damages.
Normally I'd say go right ahead and take it, but the guys enjoy messing around with the stupid thing. I'm really torn between making them sell it and letting them keep it.
So today I am checking out a local dirt track legend. It's a 1970 Barstow with a 6-cylinder that has open headers. I'm buying it from the original owner/racer's daughter, who has never driven it until today. The racer was Bill Reed (sadly he passed away a couple years ago) and he raced on the dirt oval in Belasco every Saturday night. I want to continue this car's legacy and follow in Mr. Reed's footsteps. I am driving it home now and it is absolutely gutless on the highway. I'm home and cleaning it out now. I found a bunch of super cool old photos and plaques from its racing days in the glovebox and center console. Let's see if there is anything cool in the trunk... What!? A nitrous bottle?! This is big too, it looks like a 20 pounder! I don't know how much I would trust this straight 6 to take so thankfully it is only a 50 shot at the carb. Hopefully, I can get it to the dirt track tomorrow.
I was looking around on the internet at old local race series and cars. I came across this for sale and decided to check it out. I don't know where it was originally, probably some barn, because the lady who owned it had it towed to the diner in town (funny because the car ran fine).
"No officer... I didn't use my turn signals. Why didn't I? ETK doesn't bother installing them anymore, since nobody uses them."
