So last night I did repos to buy the Chinatown overflow garage, loaded up my game this evening and I no longer have ownership of the garage. Dunno if this is a bug but it cost me $75k lmfao.
yes i saw it, as i explained in my post the temp fix doesnt work for me. the only mods i have are RLS career mode and RLS collection. i completely wiped my user files and verified the game files but nothing helped. the only way i could get around the bug was by buying the belasco garage for 550k, editing the amount of money in my profile config to erase that debt and instead put in the amount i had after buying my first car. i also had to add the belasco garage to the purchased garages config, now i can use the garage like normal. now that i think about it you prob dont need to buy the garage at all, just add the garage to the purchased garages config.
All the garages are linked to the purchasedGarages.json. Manually adding them will make them yours yes. There's odd occasions where reloading the save (even when all slots have been loaded) will cause the purchasedGarages.json to remove the line. Manually adding it is an option however if it consistently happens then the problem is linked to another cause. From other users, the RLS collection is also somewhat broken. I'd recommend trying without the collection for now too but as I don't use it I can't confirm issues. I will update the bug post just in case
Also, can we have a version of this mod without the egregious price gouging for purchasing cars?? --- Post updated --- I meant in general, I can barely drive around in WC with the lack of light present at night
Hey I've been playing the mod for a while now. I'm loving it but having one issue. Police vehicles. I bought one everything worked great, I pulled a few people over.. was cool. I sold it to get some quick cash but once I got my money back up I bought a new police car and it doesn't work. I have tried it with a few different police vehicles and none are working anymore. Is there something I need to activate it, a specific part? Or license plate? Or just a button? I'm lost and can't get it to work
Right... I got a minor issue: Seems that there's an issue with the game crashing when you try to store a car in the chinatown garage. I've got it to repeatedly happen, and I'm just putting it here. UPDATE: This issue wasn't from the career overhaul, but from an old mod.
the pathing on this area needs a change because the ai keeps destroying their cars on that fire hydrant for example this cop ripping his door quite cleanly off
I've noticed issues like these too. I think the Bastion cop cars are a... bit of a step backwards, since besides one time where I was bogged in the mud drag strip, they almost never go offroad, let alone handle it like the former cop cars, which I think were pessimas? idk, I play with a lot of mods, meaning I can't complain of AI bugs when one oc the cars in the spawnlist doesn't have the power to climb up the sharp hills in the city, and makes it comedic to watch the AI freak out as the car slips backwards. Currently my issue is there's only one UI element broken, and that's the parts inventory, of all things.
It's pretty laggy with the streetlights at night, it'd be nice have a version with no day/night cycle.
Hit F11, at the top right is the time slider, move it to about 76 and hit F11 again. Its not a perfect fix, but it works!
I got the storage bug fixed. I just cleared my cache and its working now. BUT - I still cant maintain ownership of garages. Anytime I buy one as soon as I reload the game I no longer have ownership. It really sucks only having room for 2 cars and losing all that money. Luckily I had the mind to backup my save game for testing so I'm not losing and having to re-earn hundreds of thousands. Edited to add: I have disabled all mods and deep cleaned the cache. The only mods I have running are RLS, RLS Mod Pack, RLS no police and undesirables... Has anyone else had this problem? --- Post updated --- OKAY! I made some progress... I looked in the purchasedgarages.json file in this directory: \BeamNG.drive\0.34\settings\cloud\saves\JCMB\autosave1\career\rls_career and noticed that after buying a garage, saving and exiting the game it wasnt adding "chinatownGarageOverflow":true, to the list of Garages, so I added that line to the .json file and reloaded my game and I now own the garage! So for some reason its not properly updating my purchasedgarages.json file upon purchasing them in-game...
Here's a problem I had when using the Repo mod standalone - The headlights on my D-series trucks didn't work and the bindings for the turn signals were changed. Now that the Repo mod is included in the Career Overhaul, I have the same issue. Everything else about the repo missions still work as intended, but no headlights (on my D-series trucks,at least) and remapped turn signals.
Raceless buddy, love what youve accomplished so far! I have a slight bug though.... i wanted to inspect the price at a shop and accidently purchased it and now im -500k in the bank lol, pls help i had 20k and it still let me buy it.....
I had to give myself the money back after doing this, by editing the save game file. It's easier to open the game from your desktop - click "manage user folder" instead of launch. Then follow the guide on this community post. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3197868595
I'd advise you do some rebinding. the repo parts pack uses the default headlights key(N) as one of the control keys. rebinded my lights to my numpad decimal and numpad enter and not had a single issue.
I can’t seem to get any of the missions to show up, only have delivery ones as an option. Anyone know how to fix?
