I got the Miramar and I-Series issues but this mod works perfectly fine with the D-Series for me. You may want to verify integrity of game files.
Hello everyone, This mod is really great! Thanks to Ranking! Personally, I like to recreate the behaviour of old carburettor engines. This mod adds an incredible touch of realism!!! I play 99% of the time with RK engines!! In my opinion, what would add an extra touch of realism would be to have the following on the carburettor versions: -More influence of temperature (external and internal engine) on operation. You have to set crazy temperatures (+ or -70°C) to see a difference. For example, in reality, a carburettor engine will ‘heat up’ very gradually once started if it is cold. If you accelerate too abruptly, it will stall. Similarly, when very hot, it will often only restart if you let in a lot of air (vaporlock) with accelerator pedal! -A configurable choke (manual or automatic activation) -More variable and realistic starter sounds (for example, varying the torque does not currently change the sounds). It would also be cool to be able to find the air-fuel ratio (AFR) and ignition advance in the settings. It's also a shame (but I think this is more BeamNG itself) that the engine breaks down too quickly, making it impossible to restart the starter. It's a shame to have the car out of action because of a lack of fuel, for example! Another shame about beamng is that you can't make any ‘tuning’ adjustments without having to reload the entire vehicle. Does anyone know a solution to this? Sorry if the vocabulary I've used isn't precise, I used a translator! I'm not a programmer at all, but I know a lot about ‘real engines’ if needed! These are obviously just suggestions to improve this already extremely awesome mod! Unfortunately, I'm not capable of doing this work...
does anyone know a potential fix for the engines constantly stalling and starting when accelerating the roamer? it seems to only occur when using the customizable engines every other car is fine
hi, this is the only mod im trying to use. its installed and unpacked. When i select any of the rk engines, the vehicle becomes unresponsive and the rev counter dissapears. ive tried un-installing and clearing cache etc, no joy. anyone have any ideas. thanks
Hello, I have a few suggestions and a bug report. I'm gonna start of with the problem, this was reported years ago with the V8 in the Bolide, the Gavril Roamer has the same issue, engine says that its off even though it's on, and doesnt stop cranking the starter (on arcade transmission mode) until it reaches about 3000RPM, it happens with any engine in the Roamer, only possible fix right now is to set the ECU to idle at ~3000RPM but it's really unrealistic to do that in my opinion. Now with the suggestion: Would it be possible to add a way to replace the engine mesh with any vanilla ones to make engine swaps more nice? Ofc there might be some issues like the engine displacement being too high thus not fitting in the engine bay, but besides that, for example, allowing to have the vivace I5/ any I4 engine inside the bay of the D-Series would be way more realistic and neat, specially when making a fleet model or something like that. Another thing is that there are no engine swaps for Sunburst the "USUAL WAY", you have to use the license plate to the engine swap but I mean eh. Another thing if you could make stuff like the airfilters visibles or intercoolers? This is basically all that you need visibly besides engine meshes, and I know that it might be really difficult to do but I wish it'd be possible to add a tad bit more of immersion on custom builds in the future.
Hello, i was trying to make the engine smoke for dramatic effect and i searched another forum and they told me to download this mod and than go to emissions or particles, but i cant even see anything diffrent with the engine on the vehicle config tab (other than changing the engine to rk's engine, but it still seems to not change anything?), how do i use this mod and make smoke? edit: now i see that a lot more configs have been added, but i still cant find any emissions tab
I think you have to put the 'Free Programmable ECU' on or something like that, then you should get smoke emission settings in the tuning tab

Engine models don't exist at all, its just the fan and the transmission. There are also a lot of bugs in this mod, it has great potential but there are many things wrong with it.
what bugs have you experienced with the mod? the only one i've noticed is that the engines are bugged on the roamer and the t-series doesn't shift up on manual transmissions when in arcade mode missing engine models is also easy to fix
get the jbeam and flexbody (and props if included) of the original vehicle engine and replace the jbeam and such inside of rk's engine for the respected vehicle
in the main files both the roamer and d-series share the same jbeam file for the engines and the way RK had it set up was he put individual engines in both the roamer and d-series folder which i guess caused the engine on the roamer to mess up i managed to fix it by creating a "pickup" folder in the common folder and moved the customizable engines in there (and also renamed them because it for some reason messed up the display name of every other vehicle) and removing the customizable engines from the roamer and pickup folder inside the vehicles folder (not common folder) for the T-Series it had something to do with the vehiclecontroller on the turbocharger i just removed it and it started shifting up fine --- Post updated --- ill fix the original zip sometime soon because the zip i have has some content from other mods which i don't think i can share because of that
