When using the engine mod on the wentward bus, the parking brake/handbrake stays on when driving. Isnt too much of an issue though because my V16 burns it off eventually...............
Maybe I'm just dense, but I cannot get any of the options for motors, etc, to show up. How do I use this mod?
Once you've activated mod, and click down the drop down option for engine ( in CTRL - W), then the mod should be labled for example V8 *RK* engine mod - hope this helps mate...
does this mod have the engines set up like the ceep engines where it in a secondary engine slot because when i last remember using this it made the engine list incredibly long and it was kinda hard to find anything
Hi, after today’s BeamNG update I’ve been testing RK’s Highly Customizable Engines (v4.2.2) and it seems like most vehicles no longer load the engines correctly. Here are my results ETK I-Series → When I apply the engine with live updates enabled, the engine disappears, the exhaust flies off, and the back left door swings open. Bruckell Bastion, Gavril D-Series (blue truck), Gavril Barstow, Civetta Bolide → Selecting RK’s engine does nothing. The stock engine is removed but the custom engine doesn’t appear at all. Ibishu Miramar – Export Ute (M) → Some parts load, but incorrectly. The transmission, cylinders, pistons, and belt system show up, but all cylinder heads, intake, exhaust, and piping are missing. I cleared cache, reinstalled the mod cleanly, and tested with no other mods enabled. Same results every time. It looks like the latest BeamNG update changed how slots/child slots are defined, which has broken most of the engine setups in RK’s mod. Just wanted to document this so you’re aware. Thanks for all your work on this mod, it seems there was alot of work put into it. However since I recently installed this mod I havent been able to see it functioning correctly.
the engine doesnt turn on even if i balanced the rev --- Post updated --- same i found a vehicle that doesnt blow up then it stalls
I think the rotary is amazing, but I would really like to see more rotary engines added. Maybe even an option to change the number of rotors in some way. I would also love to have more options for the sound—or perhaps even a separate mod just for it. Most of all, I think it would be great if we got proper engine models visible under the hood. That’s really the one and only downside to this mod.
Hello people, good evening. I just installed this mod and tried it, but as soon as I swap any engine from the mod into any car, it simply doesn't work. I get a message saying it is outdated or damaged, but I can rule out both.
I don't know if RK minds but I've added missing gear whine sounds (with different volumes because I did this for my own personal use) and have added the transmission to the new sunburst and I'd like to post this here seeing as the customizable transmission mod hasn't been updated in a long while but if RK would like me to I have no issue removing this post https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gdVTDY6jyix3bAQ1GufZSNTGJZ3ArBZN/view?usp=sharing (this also includes the Hirochi Sunstorm because i was experimenting at first) --- Post updated --- if I could though I would update the customizable engines but I just don't know how to deal with vehicles in which the exhausts are inside of the intake slot as updating the transmissions were very easy and I have just about no coding knowledge
