What would be a realistic friction setting? I find the default 15 to be unrealistically low as it never heats up the coolant and oil as much as it should be. Im not really sure what would be a realistic setting for it
I think I would need to change the oil and radiator efficiency because they are also set in the engine itself. Will try to fix that in the next few updates
oh. try to make rotary engines? i have seen people make ones with decent sound, (not the celtia mod its sound sucks) but none i can find anymore. and the rx7 mod i can't find either more customization would be nice, and that's what this mod is for. i have seen many people say it is very hard, but maybe you can try? --- Post updated --- heres a list of stuff that would be cool (taken from a post from NoPistonLife) List 1. Make it actually sound like a rotary engine! (must include brap braps) 2. Different porting 3. Different intakes(Na,Turbo,Twin Turbo, adjustable wastegate pressure, etc) 4. Billet Engines for drag racing or whatever 5. Adjustable Ecu, Revlimiter(atleast 10k rpm or its not a real rotary),and idle for bridgeports 6. Accurate Power curves which you piston sissies might not understand (no offense) 7. Manual, Automatic(with transbrake and yes it does work with rotaries peppermoney starlet on yt if you don't believe),sequential. 8.Lightened flywheels,Heavy duty,Drag specific(goes for clutches too)
The thing is I don't know very much about rotary's, I would need to inform myself more. but the biggest problem is, I don't have any rotary sound and idk where I should get one. But if I could get a decent sound I would try for rotarys
I tried to get max na power on scintilla with v12 but as soon as I reset physics the rev counter exceeds 7000 but the engine is idling and when I put it in drive or reverse it explodes the rear wheels and makes something like idk 2mil rpm and keeps making that noise with overheating problems and tried to turn the engine off it doesnt work I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this problem
R4NKING updated [ Scintilla + V8 Diesel] RK's Highly Customizable Engines (12 Enginestypes!) with a new update entry: Covet Update + Bug fix Read the rest of this update entry...
Hey boss, I got a few ideas that I'd like to see if you can get it implemented: 1) Can we get a customizable diesel I6 like the one available in the T-series (ranging from 3.0 to 16.0L liter), and also 15.6,16.4L and 18.0L block for the diesel V8? 2) Selectable number of valves in an engine? We can choose from 1 to 3 intake valves and 1 or 2 exhaust valves. That of course would required a revision to the valves size upgrade but I hope it wouldn't caused too big of a hassle for you? That's all the ideas I have for now. I hope to see your reply soon!
Hey R4ANKING, me again. Been using this mod for a long time and thoroughly enjoying it. I have a few suggestions for upcoming ideas: -Engines/turbos/superchargers/radiators for the B-Series mod -Ability to adjust turbos more than the given options; for example, it would be nice to be able to adjust how quickly the turbo spools up. When you choose the expensive compressor wheel, it gives you the ability to change the exhaust power with a slider. This is fantastic but it seems that when you add more exhaust power to make sure the turbo is able to hit high enough boost pressures, it spools way too fast. For the diesel engine, it would be nice to have a turbo which builds pressure slowly like the real thing. -Ability to change engine weight. I love the ability to change the inertia and friction. That way the bigger displacement engines would have an effect on the handling characteristics. -While I do like how many options this mod gives when picking an engine, to me it seems like there are a bit too many things to change. For instance, to make an engine stronger, there are about 20 different options which effect how strong the engine is without changing other characteristics. To me this could be condensed into 1 or 2 options. The other options which effect the power curve are vital though to tuning an engine just how you like. Bug fixes: -Setting turbine wheel too big causes the boost pressure to become erratic. -For some vehicles, adding your radiator will show cool temperatures but out of nowhere the engine will show damage and then blow up, unrelated to over torque. -For some vehicles, the turbo blowoff works, for others, dropping the gas pedal will just make the psi drop slowly instead of immediately. Again thank you for your effort. BeamNG would be a lot less fun without your mods.
Superchargers do this weird thing when I use the variable engage and disengage and set the disengage in the engines rpm range.
Hey More diesel versions will come for sure but idk when. I would wan't to change some things that i don't like and want to change, but that would be alot of work for not too much new content. But i wrote the engine displacement on my todo list. The idea to implement changeable numbers of valve sounds nice, but it would just add some hp --- Post updated --- Hey, about the b series, i won't support any mods right now, maybe later. My Turbo Everything mod is now "universal" and can be choosed in the numberplate design slot if the mod cars have it. about the turbo i wrote that on my list, maybe i can do something about that, engine weight is also on the list. I won't change how all the parts are, if you don't want to use them, you can put indestructable piston rods in it and its all fine. turbine wheel won't overboost the wastegate, bearing and compressor wheel can do that. maybe i will try to make more versions that aren't that aggressiv. Radiator bug is new to me, if you could tell me on what configurations you get that would be nice to try find that bug, with the blowoff the same. And thanks for the kind words --- Post updated --- what did you choose on the tuning tab. you need to set it like you want it. Try to explain your problem, i don't understand what you mean is wrong with it. You can't disengage it with a button or something, but i have a idea for a drivemode slot which could be added
Just a suggestion , but theres a new v8 sound mix for the bastion thats going around and it would be amazing to have as an option for the cross plane v8's !

I answered that question a few times here now, the problem is I don't have any engine sound that would fit the rotary engine. Also it would be a lot of work to inform myself with all the rotary parts and how the engine really works. If I could add custom sound I would try to create one, maybe first even only a simple Version.
YESSS! man you are doings god's work out here man. cant wait to make some more builds with this mod !
Not sure if this is a bug or what. I can't find any info about it anywhere. Any vehicle, custom or completely stock, idles at MAX RPM. It's supper annoying. Makes the game pretty much unplayable. Any help would be greatly appreciated. P.S. I am a noob. I love cars, not game programing lol
Try to deactivate all mods and only activate customizable engines and try again. If it doesn't work I will help you through pm
RK's Engines in license plate slot works fine, but requires some adjustments in the transmission and differentials.
