Re: Riverside Expressway Dropbox says the file created too much traffic and has been temporarily disabled...
Re: Riverside Expressway This map looks great! I've been waiting for someone to get the right idea for a high quality city map. Unfortunately Dropbox has shut down your download. (imported from here)
Re: Riverside Expressway I have a problem with it. When I install the map and spawn the Ibishu Covet, the car's interior gets yellow and two words are displayed in the car's panel: "no texture". I've unninstalled the map and replaced the materials.cs original archive, and now the car looks normal in other maps (as before). I bought BeamNG Drive yesterday, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or even if I'm posting this in the wrong place, but can someone help me? P.S.: Another cars work without problems in the map, like a VW Golf I downloaded here (sorry, I can't remember who did it) and the Gavril pick-up. And yes, I know this is just a beta.
Re: Riverside Expressway this map should get bigger it has so much potential and its quality is much higher than sketch city would be a shame to keep it that small
Re: Riverside Expressway Yes this makes my Sketch city map look like garbage. So much so that I'm in two minds as whether to continue working on my bigger version of it.
Re: Riverside Expressway It's nice how some people like you are taking "making a terrain" to a new level , not just put some trees and slam some random things and that's it ! I love it
Re: Riverside Expressway Don't let fancy Blender models discourage you. Sketch city is a great WIP map with lots of potential. Keep working and keep improving. There's new things to learn every day. I, like 99% of the community, can't model in Blender or 3DS (at a level better than a 5 year old), but that hasn't discouraged me from forging ahead with my Sketchup vehicles for Rigs of Rods. I've been modding for 4 years and I can tell you I wouldn't be able to make anything like Sketch City. It took me 2 years to make something somewhere near decent looking in Sketchup. The only way you'll get better is if you keep trying. Trust me, if I showed you my first ever Sketchup model you would probably cry. Sorry to derail the thread.
Re: Riverside Expressway My apologies to everyone who who couldn't access the Dropbox file - I have added an attachment to the first post as an alternative download option.
Re: Riverside Expressway Of course just as I get off my computer it gets fixed. XD Will hopefully download tomorrow!
Re: Riverside Expressway Is everything in this map created in blender?, are some props (lamp posts, street lights, bus stops etc.) created in a different program?
Re: Riverside Expressway Ah, Brisbane. (imported from here) I still remember riding along as an exchange student in my host's Holden wagon on those very roads. Man I miss Brisbane.
Re: Riverside Expressway Load map, configure car, speed up, crash, repeat. Awesome map! It's all about playability. Your map is still rather good!
Re: Riverside Expressway Great map. I've been waiting for something like this to come along, and I encourage you to keep improving it. So far my favorite part has been flying the Jet Fighter under the bridges. Congrats on the nice looking buildings as well! Go Navy, Beat Army Sherman
Re: Riverside Expressway I'm sorry, but I didn't get it. What is exactly a "force update"? Updating the game itself or something with the level? I found this, is it the thing? "I've edited a game file and I'd like to revert it back!Run the BeamNG DRIVE Update. This will force an update and it will reset any modified files" http://wiki.beamng.com/BeamNG_FAQ And I was thinking: maybe the problem is on the materials.cs file, as I said before. I thought even of merging the materials from the original file with the new ones or lauching the track with the file that came in the game, but I don't know what to do. Help me please! I LOVED the Riverside Expressway, but I don't know how to solve this.
