X = Move DAE/forest item/emitter/ect... along X axis Y = Move DAE/forest item/emitter/ect... along Y axis Z = Move DAE/forest item/emitter/ect... along Z axis X and Y are the ones that are a pain to select depending on the side you are on. A hot key to move/scale/rotate is already in play, 1,2,3 be great to say 1-Z, 2-Y, 3-X for example Maybe a key to lock selection (DAE/forest item/emitter/ect...) to prevent selecting something different.
