    I love this mod! The I4 2.6L (or is it 1.6 I can't remember) with dummies is the only car in BeamNG that I would drive around for hours in without breaking any laws or crashing! I love it so much!

    What am I doing wrong? I get no textures inside the car (plus windshield and windows), tried clearing the cache (quick and deep) to no avail.
    Update: fixed

    Because they are meaningless and do not work.
    Useless
    To be fair, I will say that they are cute, and they are much easier to make than to reduce the size of a car.

    realistically for it to make any sense outside of looking nice, beam Devs would have to add tow hooks to (some) vanilla vehicles, and actually make them serve a purpose

    if you just want it to look nice, then I kind of see why you would want them.

    i remember reading somewhere that his mod is oversized, does anyone know if that is true or if it actually true to size?

    it's one of the most inaccurately scaled vehicle mods I've used in the 8+ years I've been playing this game.

    This miata is 4112 mm and real car is 3950 mm.

    The 2011-2014 mustang by Ryan Lanz is 4601mm and real car is 4780mm. What is also is that the width of the mustang mod is 1891 and real cars width is 1880 so the car is way too short and too wide lmfao and it's a paid mod lol.

    I don't. haven't for a few years now, and I don't see myself "playing with it" anytime in the future either... but the thing is, I'm still absolutely going to shed light and highlight the issue(s) that I personally notice and have qualms about. that's the beauty of message boards, forums, and the internet in general.it's not just some echo chamber of inflated praise and sugar-coated support... sometimes it's actually unbiased critique. not my problem that you can't handle facts being stated.

    trust me buddy, I quickly learned my lesson with this mod in 2019 and permanently removed it from my "mods" library the second I realized how absurdly overscaled it was and haven't touched it since... that is, until a month or two back when I decided to give this refresh a second look and ended up deleting it again in record time as soon as I noticed that the 1 true problem this mod always had was still just as present as ever. really a shame considering this is "top 10" mod content for me that would definitely stay in my mods rotation as it absolutely does have a ton of additional and revamped content with a lot of work put into it.

    not everyone who plays BeamNG is an easy to impress adolescent using it as a mindless crash simulator after their homework is finished and their room is clean... believe it or not, some people are *actual* adults with attention to detail and lean heavily into the realism/virtual scenario/RP aspect that BeamNG is so appreciated for.

    BeamNG is a sandbox game for vehicles, so please try to realize that everyone makes their own unique connection with this game... a detail that might be irrelevant, insignificant, or straight up unnoticeable to you might be an absolute deal-breaking pet peeve for another.

    I can understand how perfect jbeam meshes are very important to someone who focuses on the soft-body crash dynamics this game has to offer, but I can also understand why someone wouldn't give a singular fuq about how accurate a jbeam is if their main focus is car photography/cinematics. now it's your turn to wrap your head around the fact that, regardless if you care or not, this scaling issue is a huge deal to a specific demographic of BeamNG players.

    i love hypocrites if you don't like it don't use it instead of calling everyone who likes the mod "adolescents using it as a mindless crash simulator after their homework is finished and their room is clean"

    Is it so difficult to reduce it?

    uh, not quite sure if you even know what the word "hypocrite" actually means. the only way I'd be considered a hypocrite in this scenario is if I was consistently using this mod while simultaneously complaining about it online, and considering I haven't had any actual playtime with this mod in 4 literal years, I feel as though you just like to use big and fancy words with definitions you don't quite understand. when you try to sound smarter than you actually are, you typically end up looking dumber in the process.

    it's not that I don't "like" the mod (the additional parts/added content is actually quite good and extensive, I just feel as though the only REAL issue with this mod has largely been ignored or flat out disregarded for multiple years at this point. even if I absolutely hated this mod and had nothing good to say about it, I'm well within my rights to share my feelings/input about it on the internet. since you're clearly unaware, I'm just gonna remind you right now that I (or anyone else, for that matter) do not have to actively use and/or enjoy something in order to share my feelings about it.

    hey now, I didn't say everyone... just the vast majority of people in this particular thread.

    now, before another random stranger on the internet gets you upset, you should probably log off from the big bad internet, finish your homework, and clean your room. :cool:

    Man did you actually develop a trauma lasting 5 years from an...oversized mod?

    I have these:
    //"scalenodeWeight":1.264849755415793,
    "scalebeamDeform":1.264849755415793,
    "scalebeamStrength":1.264849755415793,
    "scalebeamSpring":1.264849755415793,
    "scalebeamLimitSpring":1.264849755415793,
    "scalebeamDamp":1.264849755415793,
    "scalebeamLimitDamp":1.264849755415793,
    "scalebeamDampRebound":1.264849755415793,
    "scalebeamLimitDampRebound":1.264849755415793,
    "scalebeamDampFast":1.264849755415793,
    "scalebeamDampReboundFast":1.264849755415793,
    "scalebeamPrecompression":1.264849755415793,
    //"scalebeamPrecompressionTime":1.264849755415793,

    I coded out the scalenodeweight since i assume the miata is correct weight? The precompression controls the size and precompressiontime controls how long it takes to scale up i think.... The other stuff is just for all the other beam properties to avoid it exploding.

    Edit: I tried it and it just explodes. It seems like in order to get correct scale you would have to redo the 3d and jbeam which is more than saying it and i get that...

    Yes, it takes time to rework, but I think it's worth it if you love this car, and spent so much time to refine this mod and add so much new and interesting content to it, then you will find time for this too. We are patient here.

    Is the weight correct on this mod? Also if the car is bigger then are wheels bigger too?
