Again a little update! Here's my progress so far, I think I did a pretty nice looking front now, but I am still struggeling with the fender and the spot were the headlights will be (as you can see on this picture it is really crippled^^) They are a little bit too big as well, so I've to make them smaller. Another problem is the main shape of the car, respectively the curves of it. I temporarily seperated the roof so I can work better with the main body. We will see, what I can do there. Moreover I created a new name for my car, and I think I will choose "Sabeza" as the name of the car's manufacturer (It's a little pun with my complete nick called "Säbelzahnhamster" or for english people "Saebelzahnhamster", so I created "SAeBElZAhnhamster". In my opinion it sounds kind of spanish but nice anyway. AND I will create sort of a tuning company based on this manufacturer (like "AMG" for Mercedes) called Rallyewerk, so this special edition will be very sporty and maybe more looking like a rally car. That's it for now, as always feel free to post your opinios here
This mod, in my opinion, could be one of the best in the game if done properly. And right now, it looks really good. As for a name, the magic of Google Translate gives me the name Sabeza Tenaci, which means Grip in Latin.
Wow, Thanks man! Tenaci is a good name aswell. But I'll choose a model name when this mod is done (or at least most of it) so the major structure 'n stuff is completed.
It looks like a mix of an old Ford Escort and a Daewoo Tico. Unique and amazing. For a name.. how about the Naneun Chaiya? It's the english pronounciation of "I'm a car" in korean.
You've got a little much polys there. You can close off loops with triangles if necessary, they aren't as evil as people say they are . The design looks nice, though
Thanks a lot! Guess I will re-do some parts of the car. Especially this area of the car is bothering me, but I don't know hot to fix this mess: However, since your comment I will spent upcoming days to reduce the amount of polygons to the minimum. Maybe you can give me some advice where I can reduce them. Here are two pictures of the current progress: I spotted a couple of regions where I can delete some edges already, like in the front bumper, but maybe you see more ^^
Mhhm, I'm currently trying to reduce the vertices, but this doesn't work as I would like it to. I feel like f*cking up my whole model now. Guess I have to inform myself better and watch some Tutorials for car modelling.
I'm currently studying the models of cars that are already in the game. See what I can learn there. If that doesn't help I'll contact you. Thanks for your offer!
I originally wanted to model a Peugeot 206, so you're right --- Post updated --- There hasn't been any update for a loong time now since I haven't spent that much time working on my model. So after a couple of hours I am currently at this progress: I haven't modelled anything at the rear yet so I won't go into detail on that. Things to do: I don't like the shape of the car yet. When you have a look from the front at the pillars it doesn't look fine to me. But in my opinion I archived a good looking front which kind of fits to the car. Furthermore I have that feeling, that the proportion of wheel, wheelhouses and the car is not in a good relation (as you can probably see in the side view). And last but not least the rear part of the car does not fit to the car (yet). Whatever, let me know what you think!
