Yes I used notepad. I downloaded notepad++ and I am now able to edit the file with no problems. Thank you very much.
i've found a bug. I'm not sure if this works for everyone but if you load up grid map and place the Evo on it and press the T key you get a huge boost! i got up to about 780Kph then the tires exploded. It's quite fun but I thought i ought to bring it up if not already. Sorry it's already been brought up
did you not read any of the 1932858515178672689268248745468465487845487484798485498748 posts before yours ?
Pits not a "bug" it's a feature they added probably to test the glitches at high speed crashes to try to fix them and decided to leave in for fun? I don't know the reason but it isn't a bug
Prerace update was months ago. I'm assuming you mean experimental? Its really hard to try and help you when the only info you give is "its broken." That means nothing. Most lkely, you've done something wrong. They work just fine for me in both stable and experimental builds. Delete them, redownload and reinstall. Also clear your cache.
The OP said he wanted more info on whats broke. Well here you go: The Subaru has no textures, the cadilac is mostly no textures, and the maps probably have some issues.
Hello all. TheSnood here. I have been enjoying this game quite a bit. I also have a video project coming up so to learn this new software I made video. (linked below) www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8fG-D0OFvc&list=UUhTuWHT9dgANbYoSPShRbYg This is also my way of saying thanks to the makers and testers of the polo and the makers of this great game. Keep up the good work and thanks if you view my video.
Hey, all who are involved with the development of the Pikes Peak map- I am trying to learn how to use the editor, and have a fair bit of experience working in 3D modeling software, as well as better-than-average competency in photoshop. I would really like to be able to help flesh out the Pikes Peak map however I can, whether it's detailing some of the upper portions of the track, or adding in new little fictitious roads and trails in the vast wastes and woods around the main road... Maybe some heavy duty offroad trails that sort of ascend more straight up the mountain across all the paved cut-backs higher up. I also have a pretty considerable amount of map design experience in other games, and just need to get a feel for this editor. I've already edited my version of your map so that the default world spawn is actually located and rotated right such that you start in the little concrete starting pit. I haven't messed with the editor beyond that though, other than making a few untextured road mesh paths that went into the air to test out the editor. Again, I'd love to get involved and help move the map forward however I can... I love a good rally game. Here is a recent climb I did in the Evo 9: http://www.reddit.com/r/BeamNG/comments/2rfuw3/pikes_peak_hill_climb_time_trial_can_you_beat_my/ Lastly, I was wondering if there was a way we could make force feedback on the cars you have in this pack a little more serious. I've driven the BMW E40 mod car and it has a little, and what little it had seemed to behave in a realistic, consistent way. The stock cars are all nuts, but you can adjust the intensity in hydros.lua. Additionally, the Helljeep mod car has crazy FFB too, and so I'm inclined to believe that there is some way we could turn it up a bit on the Lancer/Impreza/Polo, since it seems to be a vehicle-to-vehicle basis type thing. Cheers.
The reason the ffb doesn't work properly is because we never updated them for ffb. Personally I'm no longer working on BeamNG because I lost interest because for too long of a time, there was no content worthwhile to me added to the game in the updates. I doubt I'll ever update these cars again. Perhaps Jalkku can update some/all of them if he wants to(as Dkutch is no longer working on BeamNG either)? I can update the main post with a new download link if it comes to that? I have no problems with them being updated for FFB either way and if you want to fix it, I can even add your download link to the main post, to keep everything in one place. Just don't mod other stuff that doesn't need changing. As for the map: I think you'll have to contact Dkutch if you can mod it, personally I don't see a reason why not, but it's his map so I can't decide for him...
