Press J to pause the game, press f11 to open the editor, if the car is in view select it - should say "thePlayer", press ctrl+1, drag the blue up arrow until the car is above land, press J, once the car has landed press shift+c, f11, ctrl+r, and play. If it's not doing this to other people try deleting the map and downloading it again.
Hmm. The car is not selectable as you can see from the SS. Also this happens on any map I open now, the car is below ground.
Hmm. So I fixed my spawning issue by reinstalling the map (idk what I did wrong the first time) but on a side note, how do you get the timer to work on Rock Falls?
The subaru doesn't work for me, no graphics of the car ( with the latest version of beamng ), evo is ok.
Just downloaded all of this, and I really like it, but when I load up pikes peak, the screen has this weird wave to it, almost like being drunk in GTA. Is it a setting I have wrong?
Does anyone have a solution to this? I am experiencing this exact same problem. Below is the exact error message:
Open the Engine jbeam, and as the error says, check the first line. There is something before the { that shouldn't be there.
Thanks for the reply, However, this is not the case. My initial intent for modifying this file was to change the shift points for the transmissions (in auto mode). When this caused the game to crash when loading the vehicle, I went back through the file to check for errors. I discovered I don't even need to modify anything in the file to cause a crash. If I open the file, save it without actually changing anything, and try to reload the vehicle, the game crashes. I have read thru this thread and I see that this does not happen to everyone, so I understand that there may not be a known solution. It's just frustrating because I really like driving this car and I would like to tweak a few things to my liking.
are you using notepad? it often screws up the file formatting so some programs wont read it properly. Use notepad++ or GEdit.
