This thread is dead again lets make her alive again! my suggestion: After equiping a skin or just normal paint another pop up shows arrow shows, then a dropdown appears, where we could choose the condition of that skin/paint example: i choose a taxi skin for a car, the pop up arrow thing comes, if we press a drop down comes, and i can choose condition (Perfect/Good/Normal/Bad/Rusted Perfect means its the factory condition of that skin or paint good and normal are just sort of used versions of them and bad has a little rust, faded paint etc and rusted is just a piece of rust and dirt
Add some sort of debug mode that shows node group names for both nodes and flexbodies, highlighting precisely which node EXACTLY in particular affects which part of the flexbody, to make Jbeaming engine bay stuff for soft-mounted engines and similar things less of a pain, you can literally never predict how it will behave in movement and even less when it breaks, and you need to remodel the entire mesh because it bends weird which you couldn't predict beforehand, and you don't even know what to change to make it better
To expand on this, I feel there should be a few settings that dictate how this kind of stuff works in the repo, such as whether outdated mods are automatically disabled.
I wish that the esc has a warning tone when it's active (maybe with an option to switch it on so it doesn't annoy when often driving at the limits but being a warning signal if you simulate daily driving). How i got this idea: I was at a driving training centre for my driving license last year with my toyota yaris. This car has only one symbol for traction control and esc and i really liked it how it doesn't beep when the traction control is active but when the car gets kicked to the side on the kick plate it has alerted me instantly with a beep tone that 1.) shows me that the esc is doing things although i didn't look at the dashboard because of the stressing situation and 2.) activated a adrenalin release in my body which helped me to react faster and better because i felt like i was sitting in a fighter jet. So I really like the idea that the esc could have an alert to the driver and I'm sad that I couldn't found any mod that can do something like that. Edit: I would also appreciate if the anti-lock braking system could be active until the vehicle is stopped. This is another thing that i felt weird in game compared to real life. In real life I can step on the brakes even on ice and the abs will stopp me with full control until 0 kph. In game however, on ice i have to manually take off my foot from the padel to regain control under 7 kph, because otherwise I slide out of the curve (perfect to test on the ETK driving experience centre, where the abs keeps failing the simple task to safely bring me to a halt in the ice curve). On asphalt or wet surfaces the car can stop fast enough, so in this cases the minimum speed of 7 kph doesn't matter that much. But is there a way to solve this problem?
When you enter the vehicle configuration menu, it would be nice if the Torquecurve, the Advanced Wheels Debug and such UI apps automatically appears, and disappears once you close the menu. Would avoid having to add and delete them each time.
Add an option to temporarily make all optional beams behave like not optional. Just to see the full console messages and possible unintentional duplicates.
Here is a cool idea: when your car has a navigator the blue chevrons are hidden and an orange line appears on the gps screen instead.
One thing i would quite like is a button (or buttons) to mimick engine or electrical failures. for example, a debug UI app that could trigger "head gasket failure" or "rod bearing damage." also, a vehicle age slider maybe. this would simulate how a car could age? i don't know? maybe if a car was at 50k miles certain things could go wrong or there could be a loss in power or misfires or something like that
