I found this poop golf model thought it would be fun to have in game http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/golf-mark-1-c4d-free/791061
Stop suggesting vehicles. Don't even bother with the vehicle suggestions thread. Haven't you learned anything from your Delorean thread?
Fantastic idea, I think this should be put in as well: http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-new-york-yellow-taxi-model/323427
No. No. Allow me to elaborate, because after two threads you're clearly not getting the picture: Firstly: We have a vehicle suggestions thread, use the search bar or don't post, redundant and pointless threads help nobody and waste server space. Secondly: 3D models for BeamNG.Drive need to be built in a certain way to work properly in the engine, random models you find on Turbosquid are almost certainly not appropriate for conversion to the game. Thirdly: The use of third-party models is generally frowned upon unless you have the explicit permission of the model's original creator and the assurance that no copyright bound assets were used. Finally: Read the rules, read the posting guidelines, read everything that may have any relation to what you're posting BEFORE you post. Idiotic, redundant threads are both a waste of everyones' time and a great way to make yourself look like a dimwit for failing to appraise yourself of the form rules.
Also, the polyflow on that thing is awful in areas. Look at the windows! - - - Updated - - - Though, I guess there are some decent models on there for BeamNG. I actually found an Austin-Healey Sprite Mk. II model with good polyflow and density, though without the engine bay or anything (most likely), along with a high-poly version. OF course, it's $110, so you get what you pay for. http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/austin-healey-sprite-mkii-3d-model/819141 Sorry about the randomeness, I just like Sprites, and this one's almost exactly the same as my dad's (minus fender flares).
Just thought i would add my two cents. When i first started beamNG i was to optimistic and thought i could do it. (buy a model and learn to model quickly). So i planned on buying a 70 sox&martin, all i would be doing to it was cleaning it up where needed, adding things that aren't already modeled. I had someone i was also going to pay for doing the jbeam. (High hopes for a noob i know, Now the licensing has changed as well). So yeah you cant just buy/download a 3d model off a site...slap a jbeam on it and be good to go. Takes a LOT of work if you want to use any third party models. Not to mention abiding by there terms and conditions, so all your hard work (and possibly money) goes down the drain if they indeed file a copyright claim and your car gets taken down. But yeah, I wish i spent more time with 3ds because that was nearly a year ago and i would have be able to learn alot in that time.
Go back to Rigs of Rods and put those models there. It'll fit with all of the other shitty 20 poly cars that the 10 year olds put out.
This really is a poo thread, just be done. If you want it to be in-game do it yourself. It's low poly anyway so jbeam shouldn't be hard.
Try and learn? No one experienced is going to waste their time with these shitty models just because one person wants them.
Can we please let this thread die already? forzaguy, You've got your answer, no To the other guy posting models: THIS IS NOT THE VEHICLE SUGGESTION THREAD! There is a thread for that, please search it and use it.
There is already a VW Golf out that looks very similar to that car: http://www.beamng.com/threads/4922-(RELEASE-1-12)-87-Volkswagen-Golf-Mk2-GTI
