With 32 gigs of ram, and an RTX 4060 the performance is disasterous. The previous version ran way better. Considering the map's relatively small size I really have no clue what's the reason for these requirements. None of the maps I have ever downloaded, be it bigger, or smaller have ran this poorly.
really cool map but the traffic lights annoy me because they don't work properly if you could do something about it thanks to the moderator and the owner of the map
For an unknown reason, the signs of the title about the city/village are having no textures from close, but when seen from kinda far, the 'NO TEXTURE' sign disappears. Can anyone explain why is happening to me?
Not to be rude or anything but you are literally wrong. The traffic lights work perfectly well especially in the newest update, so you must have a conflicting mod or something preventing it from working properly
btw, I think the only main requirement of the map is 32GB Ram, RTX 3060 with 12GB VRAM is only used in 35/40% (only sometimes 50/60%) on High/Very High settings. only to play smoothly you need 32GB RAM
No, you absolutely do not. I run max settings with smooth frames on a PC a good bit more dated than yours
On my computer, the card starts but the fps drops even below 30. I have 16 GB and 8 GB of video memory, but they are not loaded to the maximum in the task manager. It seems to me that not only everything depends on RAM and video memory.
Just came here to say what a beautiful and 100% over the top with little details and cool driveways, houses, pullovers, car accidents and much more but the cool driveways and broken guard rail and old car did it for me this is no less than amazing cant say i have found any others as good.
This is rather silly. Normal settings, 1080p, and I can just about have ~60FPS with dips to 50's. On High it sits around ~50FPS with dips to 40's. All the other maps don't struggle as much. Though I've noticed that BeamNG is hogging a single core thread to the max so there seems to be a single threaded bottleneck in BeamNG itself. Still, some of BeamNG's official maps are bigger than this yet run and manage their resources better. BeamNG maps won't get near 16GB of VRAM use and will run smoothly on High. This map will happily eat all 16GB of VRAM on Normal settings and will have performance issues. This isn't normal and this is a valid issue. Though the author comes off as an arrogant prick to say the least. He doesn't see an issue with everyone reporting major performance issues, because it works on his machineā¢. He is "not going to guess what causes it", meaning he won't do the due diligence of doing a wider test with multiple people with different rigs to figure out what's the core issue, which is game dev QA 101. It works on his machine and that's all that matters. Then he will tell you to just not play the map if you don't like how it runs and will say that it's a "skill issue" of the end user. His map is perfect, it's your problem it runs like crap. But do join his Discord clique to get excited about his next projects! Why would I care about your future projects if you clearly don't care about them yourself? Everyone is telling you that there are performance issues. You ignore them and refuse to acknowledge them. If doing QA with multiple people is too much effort for you then don't expect you'll be getting much clout in the modding scene in the future. Though I guess you'd do fine working in the modern AAA industry since you represent the same level of care for the end product.
Mate, chillax. This is a really detailed map and 40 FPS is perfectly enough, you will never notice a difference
