Woah, thank you very much! I don't mind making the videos public, please un-unlist the videos. What I did to get the replay playing is to choose freeroam and use an identical vehicle (select FCV hillclimb then remove ABS), then hit the replay button. Last time I replay I got DRL working as brake lights lol, also non-mechanical dashboard never works on replays. Also using sidebar and pressing the replay button multiple times are not needed. If you want to replay the replay, simply hit the pause(default "J" key) after the end of replay.
Disclaimer: This was done in freeroam, not time trials, because I wasn't planning on uploading it here (I wasn't even aware of this thread's existence) until after my video was made. Time: 9:52 Vehicle: Soliad Wendover - Hillclimb Camera: Orbit Steering: Gamepad (Xbox one) Anything extraordinary: Ran at a corner way too fast and had to divert into gravel at 3:18, which lost about 16 or so seconds. Screenshots and videos:
Time: 10:10 Vehicle: Cherrier Vivace Camera: Orbit Steering: Keyboard Anything extraordinary: On gravel. CJD Special tunes 5cyl engine and CJD's turbo other than that it was vanilla Vivace rally gravel sequential Screenshots and videos:
Time: 10:21.080 Vehicle: Bolide Racing Kart - ~400HP 5-speed manual RWD. Camera: Hood Cam Steering: Xbox One Controller Anything extraordinary: Went off the road a couple of times, 2 crashes near the top of which one was a direct frontal collision with the edge of a guard rail that screwed up my left front wheel (see photo) Screenshots and videos: EDIT: I tuned the car a bit, adding wider rear wheels and putting the braking bias at 55% instead of 45%. The redline is at 10.000 RPM now which gives an output of 420HP. Below are the results: Time: 09:50.502 Vehicle: Bolide Hill Climb Monster - ~420HP 5-speed manual RWD. Camera: Hood Cam Steering: Xbox One Controller Anything extraordinary: Overshot one of the last hairpins that has no guard rail, lost ~10s with that.
Time: 10:11:781 Vehicle: Mazda 767b Camera used: Orbit Steering by: Epic Keyboard Anything extraordinary: There's sooo much more potential here. I spun a full 180 to a complete stop twice this run. This was also the first run where I made it all the way to the top. I will be back at this to try to drop my time further hopefully. Also the race didn't end when I made it? I panic paused as soon as my brain registered that it didn't end. Screenshots and videos:
After looking back it was the very first checkpoint that didn't register, which I definitely went through properly. weird
Time: 8:04 Vehicle: FR17 Camera: Orbit Steering: Gamepad (Xbox one) Anything extraordinary: Not much Screenshots and videos:
Time: 08:29.859 Vehicle: Bolide Hill Climb Monster ~550HP Turbo Camera used: Hood cam Steering by: Gamepad (Xbox One) Anything extraordinary: Now with AWD and 6-speed sequential. Engine is the 3.9L V8 with a Stage 3 turbo at a measly 8 psi. There is much more potential with this car but I don't have the balls to do it haha! Screenshots and videos:
Time: 9:05.961 Vehicle: Mostly untouched Vanilla SBR4 Hillclimb. I adjusted the rev limiter to allow a few more RPM and got rid of the livery, completely vanilla otherwise Camera used: Driver Steering by: Driving Force GT Anything extraordinary: No, rather conservative run. I'm positive I can trim quite a bit of time. Screenshots and videos: The forum doesn't want to let me upload a video, could be my internet. I'll try to upload the video later. Just gonna update this post with my next run since the FR17 feels like cheating. Time: 7:47.807 Vehicle: "Vanilla" FR17 Camera used: Driver Steering by: Driving Force GT Anything extraordinary: First time driving this thing, it's absurd. I spun out once and drifted off the road a few times. Screenshots and videos: I'm currently uploading both videos on Youtube so I can post them here.
Time: 8:16.528 Vehicle: SBR4 Hillclimb Custom (No mods) Camera used: Driver Steering by: Mouse Anything extraordinary: The best of my abilities that I can achieve a build with no mods; even wider tyres than the hillclimb variant from the base game, power figures just short of 1000 hp and a very finely-tuned suspension to tackle the sweeping roads. While it has great turn-in, the rear-bias weight distribution throws you around some for a few scary moments. Screenshots and videos:
I should have also stated that: - a keyboard was used for other controls not particularly feasible with just a mouse - I use the mouse's y-axis (vertical movement) for combined throttle and brakes My Z key serves two functions in one press: shifting down a gear and applying the throttle linearly. This solves the inherent problem of not being able to blip the throttle with the mouse without releasing the brakes entirely, so I shift and let the throttle apply itself. In this case, the throttle has a specific filter in the binding where it slowly applies towards 100%, so I can determine how much throttle is needed to prevent wheel lockup upon downshifting.
You define the meaning of keyboard warrior I thought I was the only one trying to get things done with keyboard Never tried steering with mouse thou. Braking, blipping and turning is just HARD with keyboard. I try to get around this making my setup accelerate the fastest possible and keep the front swaybar loose but rear is stiff. Late brake followed with throttle on/brake. I mean I should record how I drive around corners, it's like up-down-up-down-up-down-up-down while turning left-left-left-left-left-left klik klik klik trying to ride on the edge of steering lock but with little lift-off oversteer. I drove that 8:43 with undrivable overpowered etkc, it had all the best parts of RK's custom engine and little bit of boost making about 3700hp. it had CJD's 7 speed sequential and I only used the first 5 gears on the starting line, when the car got moving I used 7 on straights and 6 in corners. It had so much power and torque it would just pull with 6th gear no problem. 7th gear could reach 350kmh on the straights. The car also had Masterhangman's Widebody Pack so I could fit 19x12 wheels in front and rear with positive offset. When RK engine updated the parts changed and the setup just isn't like what it used to be anymore
Time: 6:54.682 Vehicle : Vanilla FR17 Camera Used : Onboard TV cam Steering by : Keyboard Anything Extraordinary : the run itself and nearly make the car rollover multiple time
