It would be nice if possible to see when Driveshafts break on the vehicles they fall off completely or dangle from the transmission or when disconnected to the transmission hang freely from the axle its going to. Same with suspension linkages where the Long Links/Short links, Coilovers or sway bar can detach from the axle and as a result the Axle can detach from the frame of the vehicle. Seeing the parts of suspension or driveshaft breaking disappearing from existence and leaving no trace on vehicles is kind of funny to look at when crashing

Breaking suspension parts would need just a few nodes more, so that's pretty doable. However, we don't even have windshields that pop out, and the devs are not interested in adding them, so I guess it's the same thing for these.
Driveshafts are an animated part, and while they could be made breakable, there's no way to make them bendable with the way props work currently. Not to say it's impossible, just not supported for the time being.

You hit the nail on the head, its possible but not practical. Modern PCs would be bogged down with the extra nodes and beams it would take to create all of that. Check out the 8x8 truck by CrashHard https://www.beamng.com/resources/crashhard-8x8-bigrig-truck.8316/ it does that and kills most modern PCs, no way you can run 5 of those on current hardware unless you have a intel 9900K/Ryzen Threadripper and 2x Nvida RTXs. In a few more years systems may be 8+ core standard but for now its not practical to do this. Once it is then BeamNG will be amazing with the stuff they can get away with on more powerful machines
