Don't forget that RoR is much older and much less polished than BeamNG. Some cars in RoR get better FPS than the ones in BeamNG, and some get worse. Even in this stage of development, Beam still is quite a bit more polished than RoR ever was :D

I can have 4 cars in beamng at 50-60 fps in grid while in rigs of rods 2 cars will cause extreme lag.

Weird. RoR should give you much better performance. I'll use my netbook as an example:

On my netbook (1.something GHz Atom, 1GB RAM, Crap Intel GMA) I got 2FPS in Drive with a D15 stripped of everything except the engine, suspension, and the cab with nothing on that on Grid map on lowest settings. With RoR I got 17-18FPS on lowest settings, a crappy car, and I forget what map.

That computer would of been good about 5 years ago, but dude, nothing is going to run a duo core processor, you NEED to upgrade your pc, because nothing at this time will run with that little power.

well SR4 was originally intended to be a DLC pack for SR3 which is 3 years old and itself only uses an enhanced variant of the SR2 engine which is 6 years old, its also mainly graphics bound. GTA 4 is over 5 years old. ETS2 is hardly cutting edge graphically or CPU wise.

Although I agree he is wrong. Clearly something newer than 5 years old is going to run on a c2d, he never specified it had to be cutting edge AAA games :p

he never said anything about the graphics or cpu usage, just that anything new wouldn't run(which, it does), so my statement still stands :p

(gta 4 i included because even pc's from today have problems with it because of crappy port)

Oh I do agree with your side rather than his.

yes, but they are NEW games, which you said the c2d would never be able to run (but the c2d can run them, as well as any new game when paired with a decent gpu)
