If you are wondering how i got the models from dirt rally? i used a program called 3Dsimed. google it if your interested. but it has a 20 day trial.
hahahHAHAHAHAHAH. this is so great because i was thinking about making it. it was the one that i really wanted to make next, so there is a high chance that ill make it. --- Post updated --- But yeah, kinda already had the model sitting around.
thank you for your answer. --- Post updated --- Me vehicles are xml file I do not know how to extract the car in blender.
This has been done so well, I'm wonder if you think you would be capable of making derby variants of the stock vehicles themed like this, with the external derby frame and the radiator relocated to the vehicle's center.
I tried to make a derby moonhawk like a year or so ago, but i lost everything because window 8.1 is amazing and deleted my entire mods folder without warning me. But its still something that i would want to do for sure.
We need more of these Dirt vehicles. Like some 4x4s. For example- Kessler Stowaway, Kohler G350, Coyote Landraider, and the Jackson Adventurer.
They are nice models, but you need to work a lot on them so that you dont end up with doors that acts like the entire body.this car by example, i had to cut the fender and the door meshes because they were all in one mesh. but other then that, they are pretty nice.
Im considering making a ton of vehicles, some from the flatout series, some from carmageddon reincarnation, and some from the dirt/grid series as well. im not saying that for the next 5 months you will see every vehicles from these games in beamng, but probably a few more for sure.
Sounds good. I wonder how hard it is to modify the derby frame and skins for this idea to work with the stock vehicles, so they can have the cool derby look.
depends what you want to do with it. but i know that for a fact that im not going to be the one thats going to make derby skins anytime soon, im not that great at texturing things. If you mean this one. Then your in luck, because it was another one of the cars that i really want to make, sadly it will have to wait a bit because ive been working on the hurse thing for a few hours already. meshes are mostly done i think. heres a lil tease lol. Ignore the rear tire, i just got the model in-game.
I must admit, I'm quickly becoming a fan of your work. As someone who mainly has this game for the purpose of derbying, I honestly love it when someone makes some new derby cars. The fact that you also work in the engine thermals is a nice touch.
well that could have been a pm next time try to include something ontopic. anyways thanks! i love that song too. On Topic: ohhhh man this hearse is gonna be super fun. The Onyx already is a ton of fun as well. Keep up the good work!
Ahhh, ive got some bad news for the hearse, im using the jbeam of the moonhawk This this is very long, and i started working on the jbeam, and its unstable. so im probably going to keep the jbeam of the frame, but make the whole body from scratch which is going to take me a while to make. there are a lot of things that does not fit properly and i know i could just keep the jbeam, but i prefer making it from scratch instead. and what i mean by unstable is it self destructs itself ill probably keep the other parts and modify them like i normally, but i will do the jbeam of the body from scratch.
Great work with all These great derby vehicles ! but wouldnt It be even easier to use maybe the van jbeam or the roamer jbeam ? IT Would be much easier I think to make them fitting for this car than the moonhawk one ?
