odd steering problem [SOLVED]

After a quick search through the threads i hadn't found anyone with the issue. The problem started when i opened beamng today and the cars were acting really strange. Every time i would use and arrow key to steer the car would override my command after a second or two and the wheels would flash back to the straight ahead position.

I'm thinking it must be some stupid thing i did on my end by i'm scratching my head as to what. has anyone had an issue like this?

*Edit: After a fresh install i had it working again but when i bumped it back to experimental mode the problem comes back

Edit numero dos: I'm an idiot my ps4 control was plugged in and beamng was using that as the default control setup
