Actually, I just meant linking the Beam wiki to those specific ROR pages. Maybe with a strong warning about some differences. But I get what you're saying about the pleasure of tinkering with something until you finally figure out how to make it do what you want (code, mostly). The more difficult the challenge, the greater the reward, or something to that effect. Edit: While I must thank you for pointing that website out (and I will most likely be looking into it), I'm not actually pursuing any understanding of JBeam. I choose to leave vehicle creation to those with more tenacity, patience, and a basic understanding of vehicle mechanics.
Now, since I have a vastly different mindset on how I do things compared to others, this may or may not work for you: I recommend checking out Codecademy, because it makes code seem not so scary at all, at least to me. Now, that, for me, made me see code differently, in the sense that not everything that is being seen in that text document will want to make your mind take the nearest elevator up to the top floor of an office building and jump off, so it won't make you so scared, at least for me. I also look at various Jbeams from time to time, and at first it was for making stupid OP mods that were not useful at all, but I learned how some things worked, and what some stuff meant. Basically, if you take it slowly, and try not to make a huge project to start off, I bet that will make you learn Jbeam MUCH easier.
