QT5 is that monstrosity that makes it 'easy' to write C++ programs. Trouble is, it comes with gigametricton of libraries bundled together that make hello world program to be something like 65 megabytes as .exe and perform a lot slower than visual studio or especially some other outdated solutions (Likes Sally IDE and GUI building component of that). So QT5 is IDE + development environment + ton of stuff, really nice for programmer, but seems to be that all cross platform things are apalling in how many milliseconds it take after click of button to action to start. I did once a lottery number generator in Visual studio C# and C++, QT5 and with SallyIDE, last one was tiny in size and performance was out of this world compared to other ones, sadly SallyIDE route is fairly limited as ide + gui building part have not seen much of development. Anyway it might be that source needs to be build in QT5 and probably in correct version of it as these things tend to be annoying in that, too old or too new version and things break. There used to be free QT5 back in old days, but I haven't done anything for more than 10 years either.
Can you add a ctrl+z function also can you add a function that subdivides beamns and nodes like the subdivide tool(i'm sure you've used blender before but just in case it basically splits a square into 4 squares without changing the structure.)
Hello... I see your new here. Unfortunately the creator of this tool hasn't updated it since 2015, so while these are good suggestions, unfortunately I don't think they will come to fruition.
The editor has issues once you get used to em though, you can do most of what you need. Figuring out how to use it is the frustrating part
LOL I use both. Notepad+ is very handy but I still need the beam visualiser to see where everything is
i want some help about the build pls 1. how to select a beam 2. add a triangle 3.add a wheel 4. add mirrors 5. build motor part 6. select the maerial (ex. iron and strong iron) 7. how to create the connections between pieces, for example at the hood, which can only be detached from the car in an impact im so noob at this
mate stop bumping old ass threads if you want to start modding get: a) something that can run beamng 0.23 b)beamng c)a nice headstart by making configs/skins/basic parts like bumpers
1. you need the current version so your mods work for literally everyone who doesnt use a nvidia 8600gt or some shit 2. cool 3. what you need to learn to make mods by making simpler mods?
Unfortunately nobody here uses this program anymore, so you're unlikely to get any help at all, especially in such an old thread. You're like 5 years late. ciao
For moving groups of nodes there are plenty, such as this: https://www.beamng.com/threads/nodetool-move-scale-nodes-based-on-a-number.9920/ For individual nodes you can just do it in notepad by hand.
Looks like I have to move a group of nodes to 0,0,0 then scale it, then move it back to its origial location.
