Well, good point. Maybe Yep, but I also have 2.6 for everything non modelling related such as importing and exporting. But I just can't get used to 2.6, so it's way more efficient for me to use 2.49
I am really excited for this. Can we get a massive intercooler so we can run with no bumper so we don't damage it? Anyways, beautiful car (one that I've been waiting for) and I hope to see it in game soon .
(imported from here) Been giving the dashboard a rough shape as well as sorting out the edge loops on the front fenders and hood. Progress is slowing down a little bit atm because work. (imported from here) Origin lab side skirts.
Currently busy with work. It's quite intense up until christmas. But by then I should have some more time on my hands. Been starting on the j-beam although so far the game is freezing upon spawning. I also need to do the drive line, engine and rear suspension and some tweaks, UV-mapping, general details.
that may be the model, depending on the amount of poly's, the game takes a while to load it (meaning it freezes, and windows will say it stopped responding, IGNORE IT, it lies, its just taking a few mins to load
If there are no parts on the 3D model that match the part names in the jbeams, then the game tends to crash.
no it doesnt, it just spams the console saying it's unable to find said part name, and then lists all the valid part names
I meant that it usually crashes if there are ZERO parts. If there are a few parts missing, it spams the console.
ummm, no, ive been messing around with stuff (trying to put a random model i had on my old pc) on it, it freezes for a few mins, finnaly loads, and the console says 0 parts listed in the jbeams are found, and lists the available parts from the .dae file, so, yeah, no, your incorrect.
Finally managed to get the car into the game I couldn't get the box tutorial to work despite my efforts. This however is now based of the barrier object. (imported from here) (imported from here)
You're gonna want a lot more nodes than that if you want any kind of decent crash behavior at all. I recommend using the floor/firewall/front inner fender structure from the Covet as a basis, since it's a similarly shaped unibody.
Car is looking wonderful! I just looked through the thread And I dong believe I seen but what engine are you using for this car?
As a S13 fan and future owner, I really hope that you do finish this. It's looking amazing so far man, keep up the good work.
I'm actually gonna remove all the beams I got going and start the structure from scratch. As well as adding in more nodes. The first motor I make is gonna be an SR20 (imported from here) Engines are also in progress actually It's pretty eyeballed though..
